The Honor 8X is Honor’s upcoming smartphone which had leaked several times thus far, but none of those leaks were as good as the one that appeared today, and showed the Honor 8X in a number of real-life images. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see the company’s upcoming smartphone in the flesh, and as you can see, the Honor 8X will have a notch, but a really tiny one, comparable to the Essential PH-1’s and the OPPO R17’s.
The phone will sport a ‘chin’ below the display, which will contain Honor’s branding, but that chin doesn’t seem to be that thick. The phone’s display will sport rounded corners, while the back side of the device is shown in one of the images, but the device is too blurry in order to see anything. The Honor 8X did surface on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) a while back, and thanks to that listing, we do know that the phone will be made out of metal and glass, and that its back side will be curved. The Honor 8X will include two vertically-aligned cameras on the back, while an LED flash will be placed right below those two cameras. A fingerprint scanner will also sit on the back of the phone, while all of its physical buttons will lie on the right. A loudspeaker and a Type-C USB port will be included on the bottom, as expected.
Now, as far as specs go, the Honor 8X will be a mid-range smartphone. The device is expected to ship with a huge 7.12-inch fullHD+ display, and it’s noticeable in the provided images how large this phone is. 7-inch displays were included in a number of tablets, and now some phones have displays that are larger than that. Huawei’s Kirin 710 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel the Honor 8X, while the device will sport 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. 16 and 2-megapixel cameras will be included on the back of this phone, while a single 8-megapixel camera will sit on the phone’s front side. A 4,900mAh battery was also mentioned earlier, and chances are that Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on this phone, along with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.2 skin.
