Nubia’s all-new flagship, the Nubia Z18, will be announced on September 5. Nubia has released a teaser for this launch event on its official Weibo (Chinese social network) website, while the company also used the “Nubia Z18” hashtag, and by doing that, the company basically confirmed that the Nubia Z18 is coming, even though we could have come up with that conclusion even without that tag, considering the time of year and the teaser that was released.
The Nubia Z18 will be made out of metal and glass, it seems, while it is expected to ship with two horizontally-aligned cameras on the back. This was revealed by the phone’s TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) listing, along with the fact that the device will sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and that its two cameras will protrude on the back a bit. The device’s power / lock, volume up and down buttons will be located on the right, while a separate physical key will sit on the left, and that button will probably be customizable. Now, based on leaks, the Nubia Z18 will sport extremely thin bezels, its bottom ‘chin’ will be almost non-existent, while the phone will sport an Essential PH-1-like notch at the top of the display. The phone’s display will sport rounded corners, while the device will probably utilize on-screen buttons for navigation, along with gestures.
The Nubia Z18 is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor by Qualcomm, while the device will sport a 5.99-inch fullHD+ In-Cell display, if rumors are to be believed. The Nubia Z18 is expected to ship in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, with 64GB and 128GB of storage, respectively. Android Oreo will come pre-installed on the phone, along with the company’s nubia UI skin. Two SIM card slots will be available in this device, while one of the two cameras on the back of the device will pack in a 24-megapixel sensor, we’re still not sure about the second one. An 8-megapixel front-facing camera will be included in the Nubia Z18 as well, while a 3,350mAh battery will be a part of the package as well, and it will support fast charging. The phone will measure 148.58 x 72.54 x 8.55mm, while it is expected to weigh 172 grams. The device’s pricing is still unknown, but everything will be revealed on September 5.
