The China-based industry insider Ice Universe claims that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be available in five color options. These color variants include black, green, white, silver, and pink. Aside from listing down the color options, the industry insider did not provide any new information about the upcoming flagship offering of the South Korean device maker. Furthermore, it should be noted that some of the color variants may not become available in a country immediately after launch, and it may even take months before Samsung launches additional color options of the device in a market.
The industry insider has already released information about the design of the Galaxy S10 over the last few months. In a recent tweet, Ice Universe claimed that Samsung will not include a notch with its upcoming flagship smartphone lineup, and it will instead utilize its existing Infinity Display design. Moreover, the tipster previously posted an image of what is likely a prototype of the Galaxy S10. The prototype shows much slimmer bezels compared to the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S9, although this design requires sensors, earpiece, and camera technologies that do not add any bezel to the device.
Moreover, recent reports already detailed the hardware features of the Galaxy S10. The handset will reportedly sport a triple-camera setup at the back, which contains one 12-megapixel sensor, one 16-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens, and one 13-megapixel module with a telephoto lens. Recent reports also indicate that the telephoto camera will also support 3x optical zoom. In addition, the Galaxy S10 will likely sport a 3D camera with depth-sensing capabilities from the Israeli startup Mantis Vision, and Samsung is expected to include this feature without resorting to screen cutouts to accommodate the hardware. The device maker will likely ship two hardware variants of the smartphone, with one variant sporting a Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm and the other model containing Exynos 9820 chipset. The Exynos 9820 will reportedly be equipped with the Mali-G76 MP18 GPU, which is considerably more power-efficient and better performing compared to Arm’s previous graphics offering, the Mali-G72 GPU. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S10 lineup in early 2019 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
