T-Mobile held its Un-carrier Next event today, and had a couple of announcements. T-Mobile is getting rid of the automated service when you call customer service, and it is also expanding music services for its customers. It is offering a free Pandora Plus subscription and exclusive magenta benefits at Live Nation concerts for all of its subscribers. Allowing customers to get more music, for free, without having to pay anything extra.
With this announcement, T-Mobile is giving out Pandora Plus for just a year, through the T-Mobile Tuesdays app. So you’re getting this for free for a year, which is a $60 value, which is still not bad at all. While Pandora is popular for its radio stations that are custom-tailored to you, with the premium subscription, you also have the ability to create your own playlists, and get ad-free listening. And with the Live-Nation partnership, which T-Mobile says is a multi-year partnership, you’ll get exclusive benefits just for being a T-Mobile customer. This includes “access to last-minute reserve seats in sold-out sections and discounted tickets.” There will also be a Magenta Fast Lane Entry, so you can skip the line when you get to a Live Nation amphitheater. There’s also an exclusive concession line for T-Mobile customers, and Magenta Lawn Chairs, so you don’t need to bring your own lawn chair with you. Starting in 2019, your T-Mobile smartphone will unlock even more benefits for T-Mobile customers.
To get your Pandora Plus subscription from T-Mobile, you’ll be able to get a code to unlock your free subscription in the T-Mobile Tuesdays app on August 28. After the code is available, you’ll be able to redeem it for your free Pandora Plus subscription. T-Mobile will be sharing more on the Live Nation partnership in the near future. This is going to be a good partnership for T-Mobile, its customers, Pandora and Live Nation. Pandora is the biggest music provider in the country, but it does have some stiff competition from Spotify, Google Play Music and Apple Music, now with T-Mobile by its side, it’s going to get a nice boost.
