Following the initial announcement of the Galaxy Note 9 by Samsung, carriers in the US have now started disclosing their respective sales options with T-Mobile being the most recent. As a result, the Un-carrier has now confirmed it will be stocking and selling the Galaxy Note 9 and has a number of promotions running for extra appeal.
First up, T-Mobile plans to start selling the Galaxy Note 9 on August 24 (the general release date) with the price starting at $999.99 if bought outright. This is for the 128GB model and those looking to spread the cost can do so via the company’s EIP option. This route results in a down-payment of $279.99 and then a monthly payment of $30. Alternatively, T-Mobile will also be stocking the 512GB model and this one comes with a standard retail price of $1,249.99. Via the EIP route, this results in a down-payment of $529.99 along with the same $30 per month cost. Those looking for a choice on color, T-Mobile has confirmed it will be stocking both the Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple color options at the stated prices.
For those looking to be the absolute first to get their hands on the new Galaxy Note 9, T-Mobile has confirmed it will be opening pre-orders today at 9:01 p.m. PT, and as an added incentive to pre-order early, T-Mobile is also offering a 50-percent off deal where customers can drastically reduce the cost of the Galaxy Note 9 by trading in a Samsung phone. This is a limited-time deal, where customers who trade in the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 or newer, or the Samsung Galaxy S7 or newer will be eligible for the maximum $500 discount. While those who trade in any Samsung Galaxy S5 or Samsung Galaxy S6 model will be eligible for $250 off the Note 9. It’s worth pointing out the discount is post-purchase as it comes in the form of 24 monthly bill credits. As an extension of the Note 9 availability, T-Mobile also confirmed it will be selling Samsung’s new smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch, with prices starting at $15 per month with $15 down.
