Blackview has just officially announced a new smartphone, the Blackview BV9600 Plus. This is yet another rugged smartphone from the company, it is both waterproof and drop-proof, says Blackview. This smartphone comes with adhesive tape and sealing rings, while it also adopts liquid injection process (LSR), says Blackview. The device is resistant to acid, alkali, and other chemical substances, in addition to being waterproof and dustproof.
As you can see in the images down below, the device does resemble the Blackview BV9500, but the company did change things around a bit, not to mention that the Blackview BV9600 Plus comes with a larger display, and this time around, Blackview opted for an AMOLED panel. The Blackview BV9600 Plus’ power / lock and volume rocker keys are included on the right, though we do not really get to see the back side of the device, as Blackview did not share any images of that. In any case, the company did share some of this phone’s specifications with us, along with some additional info.
The Blackview BV9600 Plus is fueled by the MediaTek Helio P60 64-bit octa-core processor, while it comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Compared to the Blackview BV9500 Pro, this phone offers an improved CPU and GPU performance, by 70-percent, says the company. This phone also offers better power consumption, by 25-percent. The phone features a 6.21-inch AMOLED display with a 19:9 display aspect ratio, while the phone is 9.8mm thick, which is not that bad for a rugged smartphone. The phone comes with glass on both its front and back sides, while an in-display fingerprint scanner is also included here. We’re still not sure when will the BV9600 Plus become available, though that should happen really soon. While we’re waiting or more info about the BV9600 Plus, it’s worth noting that the BV6800 Pro is available for pre-order as we speak.
