These Huawei Mate 20 & Mate 20 Pro Concepts Are Based On Leaks

In Short: Waqar Khan, a well-known creator of concept images and videos, has just released its newest creation, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro concepts. The source released a video which has a duration of about two minutes, and a set of renders that you can check out, those renders are included in the gallery down below. Waqar Khan’s design of the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro is based on leaks and rumors, which will probably become obvious to you as soon as you see the two devices.

Background: The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will become official on October 16, the company has announced an event which will take place in London. These two phones have been leaking for quite some time now, and thus quite a few information leaked. The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be made out of metal and glass, though the two phones will not look the same. Looking at the back side of both devices, it will be difficult to differentiate them, but the front side is much more revealing. The Huawei Mate 20 is expected to have a ‘waterdrop’ notch, which will be tiny compared to the Mate 20 Pro’s display notch. That being said, the Mate 20 Pro is expected to sport some advanced facial recognition system on the front, as that is probably the reason why Huawei opted for such a huge notch compared to the one on the Mate 20. Do keep in mind that these are just rumors for now, and they reflect this concept design. On the back, both devices will sport three cameras, it seems.

Impact: The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will join the likes of the Galaxy Note 9, OnePlus 6, LG G7 ThinQ, Galaxy S9 (Plus)… and some other flagship phones that have been introduced this year. Unlike all of those devices, the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will ship with Huawei’s very own Kirin 980 64-bit octa-core processor, and the two devices will also include Leica’s camera lenses, which is something that no other phone has, at the moment. Android 9 Pie is expected to come pre-installed on both devices, along with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI).
