A ton more Galaxy S10 and S10+ info has just leaked, in form of new renders, and general info about Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone. Phone Arena managed to get its hands on all this info, and the provided renders are actually made using info from CAD drawings, leaked photos, and rumors, so they’re not actually leaked renders, but it’s quite possible that the real Galaxy S10 and S10+ will look like this. Having said that, let’s kick things off with those renders, shall we.
Display & Design
If you take a look at the provided images, you will be able to see both the Galaxy S10, and S10+, and it’s easy to notice the differences here. The two devices will look basically identical from the front, save for one detail, front-facing cameras. The Galaxy S10 will include a single display camera hole in the top-right corner, while the Galaxy S10 will include two such holes which will be connected as part of one unit. The hole in the display on the Galaxy S10 seems way less obstructive in these renders, but it remains to be seen what will all that look like in real life. In any case, both of these phones are made out of metal and glass, while both of them feature extremely thin bezels below the display, while that’s basically the only bezel included on each phone. Both phones feature a curved display on the side, while you will notice that the power / lock key sits on the right-hand side of both phones. The volume up and down buttons are placed on the left, while you will spot a dedicated Bixby key right above them. The Galaxy S10 is rumored to sport a 6.1-inch display, and measure 148.9 x 70.9 x 7.8mm, while the Galaxy S10+ will sport a 6.4-inch panel, and measure 157.7 x 75 x 7.8mm. Both devices will include QHD+ Super AMOLED panels, it seems. The dimensions are not available for the Galaxy S10 Lite, but the rumors claim that the phone will include a 5.8-inch display.
Cameras
We’ve already addressed the front-facing cameras on the Galaxy S10 and S10+, but what about the rear-facing ones? Well, it seems like these two devices will sport identical setups on the back, despite the fact previous rumors suggested otherwise. The Galaxy S10 and S10+ will ship with three rear-facing cameras, and those cameras will be horizontally-aligned. Next to those cameras, you will notice an LED flash, and what seems to be a heart rate sensor. Samsung’s logo will be included right below the phone’s cameras, and those cameras will protrude on the back a bit, it seems. Now, the Galaxy S10 Lite is also mentioned by the source, and the provided info claims that the Galaxy S10 Lite will include a single camera on the front, and two cameras on the back, which is not exactly surprising considering that the phone will cost less than both the Galaxy S10 and S10+.
Connectivity
It seems like all Galaxy S10 models will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack, which will be included on the bottom, along with a Type-C USB port, and the phone’s loudspeaker. The Galaxy S10 units will ship with Bluetooth 5.0, while none of them will support 5G, but the “premium” Galaxy S10 unit may, and we’ll talk about that phone soon. The source also notes that the Galaxy Note 10 probably won’t include a 3.5mm headphone jack, though nothing has been confirmed just yet, so Samsung may decide to fight the system and retain the 3.5mm headphone jack, as that is a feature that will probably sit well with some consumers out there, as many of them are still using wired headphones.
“Premium” Galaxy S10
Samsung is rumored to introduce the fourth Galaxy S10 model, and that variant of the phone is simply labeled as “premium” in various rumors. That variant of the Galaxy S10 is expected to support 5G connectivity, unlike its siblings, while it will also differ from other Galaxy S10 units when it comes to specs, and build materials, to a degree. The “premium” Galaxy S10 unit is expected to include a ceramic backplate, while it may also ship with a whopping 12GB of RAM on the inside, if rumors are to be believed. One rumor also hinted that this model of the Galaxy S10 will be larger than all the other ones, as it is expected to include a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display. Other than that, this variant of the Galaxy S10 will probably be identical to all the other ones, and that includes the design of its front side, as the phone will probably include two front-facing cameras, just like the Galaxy S10+.
Other Info
All the Galaxy S10 units are expected to arrive in both Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 855 variants, the Exynos 9820 SoC will be utilized in Europe and India, while the Snapdragon 855 will be included in units that will ship to the US and China. The Galaxy S10 units are expected to ship with in-display fingerprint scanners, as fingerprint scanners are not included anywhere on the body of the Galaxy S10 or S10+, in any of the leaks. The Galaxy S10, S10+, and the “premium” Galaxy S10 will probably include such a sensor, while it remains to be seen what will happen with the Galaxy S10 Lite, as Samsung may opt to include a regular fingerprint scanner on that phone, instead of an in-display one. Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on all Galaxy S10 units, while Samsung’s One UI skin will be implemented on top of it. The Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10 Lite are expected to arrive during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, in February next year, while the “premium” Galaxy S10 unit is rumored to arrive a bit later, during a separate event, and that even will probably take place in either March or April, at least based on the info that surfaced, but Samsung still did not confirm any of this, so take it all with a grain of salt, as per usual.
