Samsung is actually rumored to announce more than two Galaxy S10 smartphones in 2019, and Evan Blass, a well-known tipster, has just shared some Galaxy S10 sketches via Twitter. Mr. Blass has posted sketches of three Galaxy S10 smartphones, along with their display sizes. These are not your regular sketches, they are somewhere in-between sketches and actual renders, and Mr. Blass says that these are case manufacturer’s expectations for the Galaxy S10 lineup, though he did not list which case manufacturer is this connected to. In any case, if you take a look at the provided images, you will see three Galaxy S10 device, all of which have a centered display camera holes. From left to right, these are the Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+. The Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10 will have a single camera on the front, as per these sketches, while the Galaxy S10+ will sport two display camera holes on the front, both of which will host the phone’s front-facing cameras. Now, in this image, you can also see that the Galaxy S10 Lite is codenamed “Beyond 0”, and comes with a model number “SM-G970F”, as rumors have been suggesting. As far as the Galaxy S10 is concerned, it carries the “Beyond 1” codename, and a model number “SM-G973F”, while the Galaxy S10+ is codenamed “Beyond 2”, and sports an “SM-G975F” model number. As per this image, the Galaxy S10 Lite will be the smallest Galaxy S10-branded phone, as it will ship with a 5.8-inch display, which is the same display size as the Galaxy S9 sports, though considering that bezels will be even thinner on the Galaxy S10 lineup, the Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to be considerably smaller than the Galaxy S9. The Galaxy S10 will include a 6.1-inch display, and should be about the same size as the Galaxy S9, while the Galaxy S10+ will feature a 6.4-inch display as per the provided image.
What About The “Premium” Galaxy S10?
As most of you know, the “premium” variant of the Galaxy S10 is also rumored, and info regarding that phone actually surfaced a number of times thus far. Rumors are claiming that the “premium” Galaxy S10 will not launch at the same time as all the other Galaxy S10 smartphones. The Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ are all expected to drop during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona in February next year, while the “premium” Galaxy S10 may follow in March or April, as per rumors. The “premium” Galaxy S10 is expected to sport a very similar spec sheet to all the rest Galaxy S10 units, while the phone is also expected to look the same as all the other phones, but unlike those devices, which will be made out of metal and glass, the “premium” Galaxy S10 is expected to ship with a ceramic back, in addition to a metal frame. On top of that, this smartphone is rumored to sport six cameras overall, four on the back, and two on the front, more than any other Galaxy S10-branded smartphone. That is not all, however, the “premium” Galaxy S10 unit will ship with support for 5G, which the other Galaxy S10 units may not support, but who knows, they may. This smartphone is also rumored to include a whopping 12GB of RAM, though that seems a bit far-fetched. The “premium” Galaxy S10 is expected to be the largest Galaxy S10-branded phone as well, as the device is rumored to include a 6.7-inch display, and we’re probably looking at the QHD+ Super AMOLED display, unless Samsung ends up opting for a 4K panel here. An in-display fingerprint scanner is rumored to be included in the phone as well, but we’ll see what will happen.
The Galaxy S10 Lineup’s Design & Specifications
Those sketches that are included above this article may as well be close to the reality, though the front-facing cameras may be offset to the side, either left or right, as some previous leaks suggested. Most leaks had shown off the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ with front-facing cameras in the top-right corner of the display, so that option may be even more realistic than the one pictured here, but who knows. As you can see, all the Galaxy S10 units will include a power / lock key on the right, while the volume up, volume down, and Bixby buttons will sit on the left. The Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ will sport curved displays, if the provided image is to be believed, even though the Galaxy S10 Lite is also rumored to sport a flat panel, unlike all the other Galaxy S10 units. Top and bottom bezels will be a hair thicker than the ones on the sides, on all Galaxy S10 units, though considerably thinner than on the Galaxy S9 lineup, it seems. All the Galaxy S10 smartphones will probably arrive in two SoC variants, in the US and China, they will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855, while the Exynos 9820 will fuel them in Europe and India. The Galaxy S10 Lite may ship with 4GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will probably up that to 6GB of RAM. Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on all Galaxy S10 smartphones, with Samsung’s all-new One UI skin on top of Google’s offering. The Galaxy S10 is rumored to include two cameras on the back, the Galaxy S10+ may ship with three cameras on the back, while it remains to be seen if the Galaxy S10 Lite will include one or two such sensors on the back. All three of those smartphones will probably include a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, unlike the “premium” Galaxy S10, which will probably ship with an in-display fingerprint scanner, as already mentioned. That is pretty much everything we know about the design and specifications of the Galaxy S10 lineup, but we’re sure that more info will surface in the coming weeks, as the arrival of the Galaxy S10 lineup is still over two months away, presuming that most of them will arrive at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February.
