Galaxy S10 Camera, RAM & Storage Variants Leak With Plenty Of Extra Info

XDA’s developer, Max Weinbach, has shared a ton of Samsung Galaxy S10 information via his official Twitter account, sharing info he collected from a number of websites, while adding some additional information. He has posted a number of tweets over the weekend which indicate what to expect from the company’s upcoming Galaxy S10 series smartphones. In addition to that, Ice universe, a well-known tipster, shared a bit of info as well. Mr. Weinbach did note that everything he shared are rumors, at this point, so take it with a grain of salt, of course. Do note that he did share quite a bit of info, via a number of tweets, just so you don’t get overwhelmed by the amount of information we’re about to throw at you.

The first thing he mentioned is that the Galaxy S10 will sport the same style speaker grill as the Galaxy Note9, and not the “open hole” of the Galaxy S9. On top of that, the Galaxy S10’s “chin” will be slightly thicker than its sides, while the phone’s side and top bezels will be equally thin / thick. He also mentioned that the Galaxy S10+ will include a super wide, wide, and telephoto cameras, while the LED flash and heart rate sensors will be included on the left and right sides of the phone’s camera, respectively. The Galaxy S10 series will ship with your regular navigation bar on the bottom (on-screen buttons(, gestures will not be set as a default option, but you will be able to flip the switch in settings, of course. Mr. Weinbach also said that the Galaxy S10 charger will be matte black, instead of glossy back, while the body of the Galaxy S10 will be kinda glossy, similar to the Galaxy S8 and Note8, unlike the Galaxy S9 and Note9 which sport a matte color.

Rumors have been saying that every variant of the Galaxy S10 will include an in-display fingerprint scanner, instead of the S10 Lite, which is rumored to ship with a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and Mr. Weinbach confirmed that as well. He also notes that the power button is in a more convenient place compared to last gen models, while he sees both the Galaxy S10 and S10 Lite as Galaxy S9’s replacements.

Camera Details

As part of its tweets, Mr. Weinbach did share a ton of camera info when it comes to the Galaxy S10. He more or less reconfirmed a recent leak, and added more info to it. According to the info he shared, the Galaxy S10 will include 12 and 16-megapixel cameras. The 12-megapixel camera will be the phone’s main camera, and we’re looking at a camera with a variable aperture (f/1.5/2.4), with a 78-degree lens, and OIS. The 16-megapixel camera is an ultra wide camera with an f/1.9 aperture, 123-degree lens, and OIS. In the Galaxy S10+’s case, these two cameras will be joined by a third one, a 13-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture, 45-degree lens, and OIS. So, the Galaxy S10 will ship with two cameras, while the Galaxy S10+ will include three, it seems, as rumors have been indicating. He also hinted that the Galaxy S10’s camera will offer both Bright Night and portrait lighting, similar to Apple’s iPhone, the Mate 20 Pro, the Mi MIX 3, and so on.

RAM & Storage Variants

When RAM and storage options are concerned, Mr. Weinbach also had something to share. He said that the Galaxy S10 Lite will sport 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the Galaxy S10 will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of storage. The Galaxy S10+ will be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM models with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage. The company’s 5G-enabled Galaxy S10+ model will include 8GB or 12GB of RAM, along with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage. He also shared some info regarding the company’s foldable smartphone, saying that the device will ship with 12GB of RAM, and 512GB /1TB of storage, while noting that the storage info may be off.

The last Galaxy S10-related tweet Mr. Weinbach shared mentions that the Galaxy S10 will ship with a new pair of AKG earbuds, a pair of earbuds that will include a new color, and logo on the side. He said that he’s not sure if these earbuds are new or not, but they sure look different than the last model, so we’re quite probably looking at a different pair of earbuds. Now, Ice universe shared only one tweet, mentioning that the Galaxy S10+ will be 7.8mm thick, and that it will ship with a 4,000mAh battery. Most of this info you’ve probably already seen in some of the other rumors that surfaced in the last couple of months, but some of it is new. The Galaxy S10’s launch date is still about a month away, so get ready for a ton more of Galaxy S10-related rumors.
