Samsung will probably introduce its Galaxy S10 series of devices in less than two months, and the screen protectors for the Galaxy S10 and S10+ have just appeared online. These two Olixar-branded screen protectors have surfaced on Mobile Fun’s YouTube channel, and the source did a good job covering both screen protectors, giving us an idea as to what to expect when it comes to the display size of both of those smartphones, and the same goes for bezel thickness, and so on. So, if you fire up the video that is embedded down below, you’ll get about two minutes worth of content when it comes to those two screen protectors. The first thing you will notice is that both top and bottom bezels on both the Galaxy S10’s and S10+’s screen protectors are extremely thin, considerably thinner than on the Galaxy S9’s and S9+. That is not surprising at all, as the company almost certainly opted to move the front-facing camera(s) in the display, both the Galaxy S10 and S10+ will sport a display camera hole, in the Galaxy S10+’s case, there will be two included. In the provided video, you can see a comparison of the Galaxy S10 and S10+’s screen protectors with screen protectors for their predecessors, so you’ll see how significant of a difference it is when it comes to bezels. Now, as far as display sizes are concerned, the source measures the diagonal of both the Galaxy S10 and S10+’s screen protectors, and it seems like the Galaxy S10 will sport a 6.1-inch display, while the Galaxy S10+ will ship with a 6.4-inch display. This is not surprising at all, considering that bezels are thinner on both devices, it’s not exactly surprising that their displays are slightly larger than on the Galaxy S9 and S9+, which shipped with a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch displays, respectively. The Galaxy S10 and S10+ will be quite similar in size to their predecessors, despite the fact they sport larger displays, while the video also reveals that the two devices will sport less pronounced curves on the sides. Now, considering these are only screen protectors, we cannot know for sure that displays will be curved, but their screen protectors sure will, a little bit, so both devices will probably sport slightly curved display sides as well.
Samsung Galaxy S10’s & S10+’s Infinity-O Displays
You can see the Galaxy S10’s and S10+’s screen protectors down below, but it’s worth noting that those screen protectors will cover Samsung’s Infinity-O displays, which essentially means that you can expect to see a display camera hole on the Galaxy S10, and two such holes on the Galaxy S10+. Based on the info that we have at the moment, that is based on plenty of leaks, the Galaxy S10 will include such a hole in the upper-right portion of the display, and the same goes for the Galaxy S10+’s camera holes. Some people may argue that display camera holes are a step forward compared to notches, but I don’t really agree with that, as you could hide a display notch and still take advantage of the space on the sides for status bar icons, so it actually looked somewhat okay, presuming that an OLED display is included. Display camera holes, on the other hand, you cannot hide in any way, and you have to look at no matter what, so they will certainly be an eyesore for some people.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Variants
Rumors and claiming that Samsung is planning to release four different variants of the Galaxy S10 in 2019, three of those variants will be announced at the end of February, it seems. The Galaxy S10, S10+, S10 Lite, and the “premium” Galaxy S10 unit are expected to arrive in 2019, the first three variants will drop in February according to rumors, while the “premium” model will arrive later on. The Galaxy S10 Lite is rumored to be the least powerful Galaxy S10 unit, and yet it’s rumored to ship with a flagship processor, just like its siblings, but it will ship with 4GB of RAM, according to rumors. The “premium” Galaxy S10, on the other hand, is rumored to sport a ceramic back, instead of a glass one, while it is also rumored to support 5G connectivity, which is a functionality that the other Galaxy S10 units probably won’t ship with. The “premium” Galaxy S10 is also rumored to sport a whopping 12GB of RAM, and a 6.7-inch display, in addition to four rear-facing cameras.
