Nearly everything that’s to know about the upcoming Moto G7 series has already leaked and the only missing piece of the puzzle up until now was the price of the Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus. Tipster Ishan Agarwal — who previously alleged that the Moto G7 Play and G7 Power will cost €149 and €209 in Europe, respectively — revealed the supposed pricing details of the Moto G7 and G7 Plus. According to him, the Moto G7 will set consumers back €300, while the G7 Plus will carry a price tag of €360. The insider also shared some renders of the phones which can be seen in the gallery below and largely corroborate previous sightings of the upcoming Android handsets.
Moving on to the design language of the G7 series, the leaked photos suggest the phones will be relatively generic-looking. All four G7 models are expected to sport notched displays and come with slim bezels, as well as rear-mounted fingerprint scanners. The G7 series phones will also allegedly retain the 3.5mm headphone jack.
As per a number of reports that surfaced online so far, the Moto G7 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 632 chipset and 4GB of RAM, in addition to offering 64GB of flash memory. The phone is rumored to sport a 6.24-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2270 and a waterdrop notch. A dual-camera setup reliant on a 12-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel supporting one is said to be part of the package as well, together with a 3,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Moto G7 Plus is expected to have largely the same specifications as the G7, but will most likely be fueled by the Snapdragon 636 SoC and its 12-megapixel camera should be swapped out for a 16-megapixel one.
The other two phones in the series, the Moto G7 Play and G7 Power, are both expected to be fueled by the Snapdragon 632 SoC and offer 32GB of storage. Their other specifications differ to a degree, as the Moto G7 Play is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1,512, 2GB of RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Moto G7 Power is rumored to come with a 6.2-inch display, albeit with the same resolution, and a massive-capacity 5,000mAh battery. The phone will allegedly have 3GB of RAM as well.
All four variants are expected to ship with Android 9 Pie and utilize the same 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, although some reports have alleged that the Moto G7 Plus will have a 12-megapixel front camera instead. Motorola is expected to unveil the Moto G7 series models at an event scheduled to take place in Brazil on February 7. The Android handsets will most likely also be demoed at MWC 2019 taking place at the end of February. Lenovo’s subsidiary will likely focus on the value-to-money ratio of its new devices while marketing them, though it remains to be seen whether that will be enough to compensate for the fact that it’s delivering yet another range of generic devices that will likel be at the center of its product portfolio throughout spring.
