About a week ago, we’ve talked about the DOOGEE S90 handset the company’s modular handset. Back then, we only knew that the phone is coming soon, but now DOOGEE announced that the device will be launched at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, along with the company’s Y series of smartphones.
DOOGEE’s Modular S90 Handset
The DOOGEE S90 is actually listed on Kickstarter as we speak, and the company had crossed its $10,000 campaign goal a while back. DOOGEE actually managed to collect $354,412 from 935 backers, which is above and beyond what the company expected. The DOOGEE S90 is referred to as “modular” as it will come with five modules overall, and we do have some info regarding those modules, though DOOGEE will share even more information during MWC 2019.
The DOOGEE S90 will launch with Night Vision Camera Module, Power Module, Walkie-Talkie Module, Game Module, and the 5G Module. The latter will become available at a later date, no extra info was given. The Night Vision Camera Module is aimed to improve upon night vision photography of the DOOGEE S90, while the Walkie-Talkie Module will basically turn the phone into a walkie talkie. The Power Module brings with itself a 5,000mAh battery, just in case you need more power, and the Game Module is essentially a gamepad to which you can attach the device.
DOOGEE says that it will be extremely simple to attach and detach modules, as they will be attached to the DOOGEE S90 via powerful magnets and start working the moment you attach them. A promo video for the DOOGEE S90 is embedded down below, that video was released at the end of last year, but it will give you a better idea what the phone is about. If you’d like to know more about the DOOGEE S90 and its modules, check out our previous article, or navigate to one of the links provided below the article, one of which even allows you to purchase the DOOGEE S90 in advance, though limited quantities are available.
DOOGEE’s Y Series Of Devices
The company’s Y Series of phones will also be announced, confirmed DOOGEE. This series of phones will bring the Y7 and Y7 Plus back, and also the Y8 and Y8 Plus. The company says that all four of those phones have been redesigned, and that they will sport gradient colors on the back. Some images are included in the gallery down below, if you’d like to take a closer look at these devices. It seems like the company’s Y series devices will include notches, of different kinds, and rear-facing fingerprint scanners. More info will be shared by the company during MWC 2019, and the company will be in Barcelona from February 25 to February 28.
