Huawei P30 Series Will Launch On March 26 In Paris: Official

Reports have been saying that Huawei plans to announce its new flagships at the end of March, and the company has just confirmed that. Huawei has confirmed, via Twitter, that the Huawei P30 series is coming on March 26, and that the press conference will take place in Paris. Huawei flat out confirms that it is talking about the P30 series, both in the Tweet itself and the provided teaser video.

The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are expected to launch as part of that announcement, while the P30 lite is also expected to make an appearance, but it is possible that the P30 lite will be announced before the P30 and P30 Pro. There is actually a good reason for it, the P30 lite will be a mid-range smartphone, just like the P20 lite, and Huawei probably wants to keep the focus of the March 26 event on its flagship offerings. That’s just a guess, though, Huawei may introduce all three phones at once, we’ll see.

Huawei P30 & P30 Pro Info Thus Far

The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro have been leaking for a while now, and we have a pretty good idea as to what the two phones will look like. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be made out of metal and glass, while they will include in-display fingerprint scanners. Both devices will sport a teardrop notch at the top of the display, and a really thin “chin” below the display. Other than that, their bezels will be more or less non-existent.

The Huawei P30 is rumored to sport three cameras on the back, while the P30 Pro is said to include four cameras on the back. Cameras on both devices will be located in the top-left corner of their back side, and those cameras will be vertically-aligned. An LED flash will be located below all of those cameras, while Leica’s lenses will be included as well.

Both the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be fueled by the Kirin 980 64-bit octa-core processor, which is the same chip that fuels Huawei’s Mate 20 series of devices, and the company’s most powerful processor at the moment. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will ship with at least 6GB of RAM on the inside, though more than one RAM variant will be available, most probably, same goes for storage as well.

The Huawei P30 is rumored to include a 6.1-inch fullHD+ OLED display, while the P30 Pro will probably include a 6.3 or 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED panel, even though UAG listings appeared yesterday suggesting that both phones will ship with fullHD+ displays. Some sort of IP rating is expected on both devices, while Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on both the P30 and P30 Pro, while Huawei’s custom UI will ship on top of it.

A 3.5mm headphone jack probably will not be included, as the Huawei P20 and Mate 20 series devices did not sport it. Huawei may opt to bring it back, of course, but that’s not as likely. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will probably include some sort of IP rating for water and dust resistance, while both devices will support fast wired and wireless charging.
