ZTE had introduced its very first 5G-enabled device during MWC 2019 a couple of days ago, but the company did not give out much spec detail regarding the phone back then. Well, now we have access to some more information when it comes to the ZTE Axon 10 Pro.
At first, the company did say that the phone will support 5G, be fueled by the Snapdragon 855, and offer “stunning audio”, while ZTE also revealed the phone’s design, but all other spec information was missing.
According to the source, ZTE has now shared more information regarding the phone, as it confirmed that the device will feature a 6.47-inch fullHD+ flexible AMOLED display which is developed by Visionox. This display’s screen thickness is reduced up to 30-percent compared to other flexible screens, the source adds.
It was also mentioned that the bottom bezel is 1.8mm thick, and that the company adopted what is called the “COP packaging technology”, when it comes to this phone’s design. A 20-megapixel camera is included on the ZTE Axon 10 Pro’s front side, while 48-megapixel, 20-megapixel (wide-angle lens), and an 8-megapixel (telephoto lens) cameras are located on the back of the device.
A 4,000mAh battery is also a part of the ZTE Axon 10 Pro package, and it is not removable. We still have no information regarding the phone’s RAM or storage, and the same can be said about various other aspects of the device, so stay tuned for that. The ZTE Axon 10 Pro will go on sale in the first half of the year, probably in the Sprint.
ZTE also did not say how much will this phone cost, but considering it comes with 5G connectivity, and considering it’s ZTE’s flagship, it will certainly not be cheap. It is possible that ZTE will price it considerably lower than you may think, though, but we’ll have to wait for the company to reveal that information.
The phone’s price tag will probably be announced before it becomes available, as ZTE will probably kick off some sort of pre-orders in the next month or two. It is still unknown where will the device become available, but it’s safe to assume it will launch in China, and quite possibly Europe, though ZTE will probably want to stay away from the US market, at least for now.
It Looks Familiar, But Really Nice
The phone is made out of metal and glass, and it actually resembles quite a few flagships which have already been released. The phone includes three vertically-aligned cameras on the back, while you will notice that a fingerprint scanner is not visible on its body, that’s because it’s included below the display.
The Axon 10 Pro includes a waterdrop notch at the top of its display, while its display sports rounded corners, and as you can see, the display is curved on the sides, while its bezels are extremely thin all around.
All the physical keys are included on the right-hand side of this phone, including its volume up, volume down, and power / lock buttons. The phone’s rear-facing cameras do protrude a bit, and it is worth noting that the phone will support sub-6GHz speeds.
