Huawei P smart+ 2019 Silently Announced With Kirin 710, Triple Cameras

Huawei has silently announced a new smartphone, the Huawei P smart+ 2019, Roland Quandt pointed out. This phone simply got listed on the company’s official website, while Huawei did not send out any information that the phone will be launched, nor did the company make a big deal about its launch.

The Huawei P smart+ 2019 is actually quite similar to the Huawei P smart 2019. The two phones look completely identical, while they also share most of their specifications as well, though the P smart+ 2019 is technically a more powerful device. The main, and seemingly only difference between these two smartphones comes down to rear-facing cameras. The Huawei P smart 2019 has two cameras on the back, while the P smart+ 2019 comes with three rear-facing units.

The Huawei P smart 2019 includes 13-megapixel (f/1.8 aperture, PDAF) and 2-megapixel (depth sensor) cameras, while the P smart+ 2019 actually comes with 24, 16, and 2-megapixel cameras. The 2-megapixel unit is the same as on the P smart 2019, but the other two cameras are different. An 8-megapixel camera sits on the phone’s front side.

The Huawei P smart+ 2019 comes with really thin bezels, the device includes a “chin” below the display, while it also sports a teardrop notch at the top of its panel. Its cameras protrude on the back, and are vertically-aligned. All the physical keys on this phone are located on the right, while the device sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and its SIM card tray is accessible from the top. A microUSB 2.0 port is placed on the bottom of the device, along with a loudspeaker, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Its specs are almost identical to the Huawei P smart 2019

The Huawei P smart+ 2019 features a 6.21-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) display with a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio. The phone is fueled by the Kirin 710 64-bit octa-core processor, one of Huawei’s most powerful mid-range chips. The P smart+ 2019 ships with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, and its storage is expandable.

Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on the P smart+ 2019, while Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 9.0 overlay comes included on top of it. A 3,400mAh battery is also a part of this package, while it is not removable. 10W fast battery charging (5V/2A) is included here as well, while the phone supports 4G LTE connectivity as well.

The Huawei P smart+ 2019 measures 155.2 x 73.4 x 7.95mm, while it weighs 160 grams. The device is available in Starlight Blue and Midnight Black color variants, while the phone comes with two SIM card slots.

It’s a bit more affordable than its sibgling

Quandt notes that the phone is priced at €279, and that it is made out of plastic. We were unable to find its price tag on the company’s official website, so we’re not really sure where he got that price tag, but there you go. It is a bit more expensive than the regular P smart 2019 unit in Europe, for about €30, at least looking at the P smart 2019’s standard price tag, as the device got discounted all over Europe since launch.
