The Samsung Galaxy Note10 model numbers have seemingly been revealed by SamMobile. The source shared some exclusive info, claiming that the SM-N970 and SM-N975 will be the two main models of the upcoming Galaxy Note flagship. The source also claims that we can expect to see differences in screen size, and other specifications as well, between these two models.
As some of you know, a recent report suggested that we may see four different Galaxy Note10 models hit the market, that seems to be true, to an extent. The other two models merely seem to be 5G variants of the two models the source has mentioned. The other two models, 5G units, are expected to carry SM-N971 and SM-N976 model numbers. Those two variants will only be available in markets where 5G is available at the time, as expected.
A recent report claimed that the Galaxy Note10 will be available in two size variants, one variant will sport a 6.28-inch display, while the other one will arrive with a 6.75-inch panel, which is a borderline tablet-sized display. Those two variants are rumored to sport three and four cameras on the back, while the battery capacity will almost certainly differ between the two models as well, but we still do not have any specific info regarding that.
So, if all of this information is accurate, the Galaxy Note10 will arrive in two main variants, and those very same models will be available in 5G options as well, which will result in four models overall. This seems to be a logical move on Samsung’s part as 5G is becoming a thing, even though it will take a long time for it to become a standard, while it also makes sense offering two different sizes of the phone as not everyone prefers a tablet-sized display. It seems like the smaller Galaxy Note10 will be inferior to the larger one, which is a shame, but that is not surprising either.
The Galaxy Note9 was announced back in August last year, and it’s safe to assume that the Galaxy Note10 series will arrive in August this year, prior to IFA in Berlin. Samsung still did not confirm anything regarding the Galaxy Note10, as it is still way too early, but as August comes closer, we will see many more rumors, reports and leaks, in addition to Samsung’s teasers which are expected to start dropping in July.
The Samsung Galaxy Note10 variants will probably both be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 and Exynos 9820 SoCs, depending on where you purchase them. Same as with the Galaxy S10 series, the Snapdragon 855 will fuel the US and China models of the device, while the Exynos 9820 will ship with European and Indian variants.
The Galaxy Note10 will come with Android 9 Pie out of the box, on top of which Samsung’s One UI Android overlay will be applied. The Galaxy Note10 is also expected to come with a brand new S Pen stylus, which is expected to offer some new features, as it does every year. That stylus will probably retain Bluetooth functionality from the previous model.
The Galaxy Note10 will almost certainly be made out of metal and glass, and sport a curved Dynamic AMOLED display, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smaller model may differ somehow, by utilizing a flat display, or something of the sort, we’ll have to wait and see.
