Google Pixel 3a Series Will Not Ship With Freebies You'd Expect

According to a new piece of information, Google will not include earphones in the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL retail boxes. This information comes from This is Tech Today YouTube channel, a source which already leaked some images of the Google Pixel 3a, along with some price tags for both Pixel 3a phones.

This time around, the source shared some additional packaging images, for both phones this time, along with an image which shows what lies on the inside of the retail box, and unfortunately, earphones are not in there.

Interestingly enough, Google will include a USB-C to USB-A connector in the box, though, at least according to the provided images. The source also claims that the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are made out of plastic, but that they don’t feel cheap or anything of the sort.

The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will become official tomorrow, during Google keynote over at Google I/O 2019. These two phones will be identical in terms of the design, but the Pixel 3a XL will be larger than the Pixel 3a, as expected.

The two devices will resemble the Pixel 3 quite a bit, as they will have bezels above and below the display, and basically the same-looking back side as the Pixel 3. A regular, capacitive fingerprint scanner will be located back there, along with a single camera. That camera will be identical to the one on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, allegedly, which means we’re looking at a 12.2-megapixel unit here.

The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are rumored to ship with the Snapdragon 670 64-bit octa-core processor, though some rumors suggested that the Pixel 3a XL will include a more powerful Snapdragon 710 SoC. In any case, these two phones will be mid-range offerings from the company.

The Google Pixel 3a will feature a 5.6-inch fullHD+ display, while the Pixel 3a XL will sport a 6-inch fullHD+ display. Both phones will ship with 4GB of RAM, and both will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants.

Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on both of these phones, needless to say, and we’re looking at stock Android here, as on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Neither of the two phones will support wireless charging, though.

If rumors are to be believed, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will ship in three color variants, and their price tags will start at $399 and $479, respectively. Price points for 128GB storage options are still unknown, but it’s safe to say that a 128GB storage variant of the Pixel 3a will cost over $400, while Pixel 3a XL’s will go over $500.

That is pretty much all the info that we have at the moment. The two phones have been leaking for quite some time now, and every important piece of information is out there already. All that remains at this point is for Google to announce both phones and confirm everything that leaked out, or at least most of it.
