Google Pixel 3a XL Poses For The Camera At Best Buy, Reveals Its Specs

The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL leaks have been dropping like crazy over the last couple of weeks, and the new Pixel 3a XL batch has just arrived. Someone took pictures of the Pixel 3a XL in its retail packaging, and these pictures were taken at Best Buy, it seems. To be more specific, these pictures were taken at Best Buy in Springfield.

The fact that these images were taken at Best Buy suggests that the Pixel 3a XL may become available at Best Buy really soon, perhaps even on launch day. The Pixel 3a will probably become available at the same time, in case you were wondering.

In any case, you can see the white and black-colored Pixel 3a XL units here, and one of the images actually shared the Pixel 3a XL’s partial spec sheet. This box confirms that the Pixel 3a XL will feature a 6-inch display, and we’re looking at a 64GB storage variant of the phone here. The box also says “Just Black”, which is the official name of the Pixel 3a XL black color option.

Both the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will become official on May 7, during Google’s keynote at Google I/O. These two phones will look identical, it seems, pretty much every leak suggested that will be the case. The Pixel 3a XL will be a bit larger, though, as it will sport a 6-inch panel compared to a 5.6-inch one on the Pixel 3a.

Both devices will be made out of metal, though a small glass panel will be included on the back, in the camera region. A regular capacitive fingerprint scanner will sit on the back of both of these phones, while both devices will sport a single 12.2-megapixel camera on the back. That camera will be identical to the one included on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, it seems.

Both of these phones will sport fullHD+ displays and it’s quite possible we’re looking at OLED panels here. Both devices will ship with 4GB of RAM, and if rumors are to be believed, both will arrive in 64GB and 128GB storage options. Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on both of these devices, and we’re looking at stock Android here, of course.

The Google Pixel 3a will include a 3,000mAh battery on the inside, while the Pixel 3a XL will ship with a 3,700mAh unit. In both cases, batteries will be non-removable. The Snapdragon 670 64-bit octa-core processor is said to fuel these two phones, though there’s a slight chance that the Pixel 3a XL may include the Snapdragon 710 instead. In any case, both of these processors are mid-range offerings from Qualcomm, even though the Snapdragon 710 is a more powerful option.

The Google Pixel 3a’s 64GB storage variant is said to cost $399, while the Pixel 3a XL’s 64GB storage option will be priced at $479 if rumors are to be believed. We still do not know how much will 128GB storage variants cost, but that info may leak soon enough. These two phones will be the very first mid-range Pixel-branded smartphones from Google and it will be interesting to see how will they fare in the market, as the mid-range segment that Google is aiming for is extremely crowded with phones.
