Motorola Moto One Vision, also known as Motorola’s upcoming Android One handset, will become official on May 15. The company will announce this handset in Brazil, actually, as it will be hosted in Sao Paulo at 10AM (local time).
At the time of writing this article, this was not published by the company itself, but by Sudhanshu Ambhore, one of the main contributors for Slashleaks. He shared the seemingly official poster with a launch date and time highlighted on it, along with a city where the launch will take place.
Now, if rumors and leaks are to be believed, this will not only become the company first smartphone to sport a display camera hole, but also Motorola’s first device to be fueled by one of Samsung’s Exynos processors.
Based on a leaked image, the Motorola Moto One Vision will be made out of metal and glass, while its back side will be curved. The phone will include two cameras in the upper-left portion of its back side, while a dual-LED flash will sit below those two cameras.
Motorola’s logo will be placed on the back of the phone as well, and that logo may actually double as a fingerprint scanner, as it basically looks like one with Motorola’s logo on it. The camera cutout will be placed in the top-left portion of the phone’s display, and that cutout will be larger than the one on the HONOR View20 it seems.
The phone’s display will sport rounded corners, while a “chin” will be included below the display. Based on the render that leaked, that bottom bezel will not exactly be the thinnest around, but not the thickest either, which is to be expected considering this will be a mid-range smartphone.
Considering this handset will be a part of Google’s Android One program, it will ship with stock Android on the inside. The Moto One Vision will probably launch in China as the Moto P40, and that variant of the phone will not be an Android One phone, that’s for sure.
The Moto One Vision will be fueled by the Exynos 9610 64-bit octa-core processor, if rumors are to be believed, That is Samsung’s mid-range 10nm processor. The device is expected to sport a fullHD+ display, while a 48-megapixel camera will probably be included on the back of the phone, as the phone’s main camera unit.
The device is rumored to ship with 3GB / 4GB of RAM, and it will arrive in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants it seems. A 3,500mAh battery will also be a part of the package, while Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on the phone. That is pretty much all the info that we have about this device thus far.
This device will launch in Brazil first, it seems, but it is expected to reach a number of other markets soon after it arrives to Brazil. It is still not known what markets exactly will Motorola aim with this phone, but the company will hopefully share more information during the launch event in Sao Paulo.
