Specifications: OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus had introduced its new flagship smartphone series today, and we’re here to take a closer look at the spec sheet of the more powerful OnePlus 7 handset, the OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7 Pro comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect in a flagship, well, most of them. Most of the specs already leaked before the launch event, but we did our best to fill in the gaps.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is by far the most ambitious smartphone the company even manufactured. This device is made out of metal and glass, while it barely has any bezel. The company opted to include a pop-up selfie camera here in order to avoid using display notches and holes. The device was actually announced in both 4G and 5G variants during the event.

The OnePlus 7 Pro features a 6.67-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) Fluid AMOLED display, and this is actually the company’s very first smartphone to sport both a QHD and a curved panel. We’re looking at an 88-percent screen-to-body ratio here, and the display comes with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

That’s not all, though, this display is HDR10+ certified, and it offers a really high refresh rate, 90Hz. OnePlus actually claims this is the highest refresh rate on an OLED panel out there, at least as far as smartphones are concerned. The display itself is protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 6.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 64-bit octa-core processor fuels the OnePlus 7 Pro, while the phone comes in 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB RAM options. The 6GB RAM model includes 128GB of storage, while both 8GB and 12GB RAM models ship with 256GB of storage. It is also worth saying that this phone includes UFS 3.0 flash storage (79-percent faster read / write speeds, 5x faster install speeds), and it’s first to reach the market with it, trumping the Galaxy Fold.

A 4,000mAh non-removable battery is included in the OnePlus 7 Pro, and it supports 30W Warp Charge, OnePlus proprietary fast charging. The device does not support wireless charging, though, nor reverse wireless charging. OnePlus’ 30W War Charge will get you from 0 to 50-percent in only 20 minutes.

The OnePlus 7 Pro sports stereo speakers, but a 3.5mm headphone jack is not a part of the package. Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on the device, with OxygenOS 9.5, OnePlus’ proprietary Android skin.

On the back of the device, you’ll find three cameras, 48-megapixel (f/1.6 aperture, 0.8um pixel size, 7-element lens, OIS), 16-megapixel (f/2.2 aperture, 117-degree ultrawide lens), and 8-megapixel (f/2.4 aperture, 3x optical zoom) units.

A single 16-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle lens, 1.0um pixel size) is placed on the front side of the phone, and this is a motorized selfie camera. The camera is hidden away until you call upon it in the phone’s camera app.

The OnePlus 7 Pro comes with a Type-C USB 3.1 port on the bottom, and it features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Bluetooth 5.0 is included in the phone as well, as are two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM).

The phone measures 162.6 x 75.9 x 8.8mm, and weighs 206 grams. OnePlus had announced the OnePlus 7 Pro in Almond, Mirror Gray, and Nebula Blue color options.
