More Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Specs Leak Out

The Galaxy Tab S6 isn’t going to be the star of the show next week, when Samsung takes the stage in Brooklyn, but it is going to be a pretty popular product. And now we’re learning even more about the device, ahead of its August 7 unveiling.

This tablet from Samsung is looking to go head-to-head with Apple’s latest iPad. And seeing as that is really the only other tablet out there, that shouldn’t be a big surprise. So the design does look pretty similar. Then again, there’s only so many different ways that you can design a tablet.

We’ve already seen it leak out with the keyboard dock, and now we are seeing some more of the specs for this tablet. Apparently, it is going to boast a 7040mAh capacity battery, and also weigh in at about 420g. That is somewhat light for a 10.5-inch tablet, especially with a beefy battery.

Samsung also has dual rear-facing cameras on this tablet, with a 13-megapixel main sensor that has an aperture of f/1.9 and then a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Typically cameras on tablets are not great, not even good. But Samsung might be looking to change that with the Galaxy Tab S6.

Internally, the Galaxy Tab S6 is going to sport a Snapdragon 855 chipset, along with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. It’ll likely be available with two configurations. Samsung is also keeping the micro SD card slot, so you can add another 512GB of storage, if you need it.

This tablet from Samsung is likely going to be the best Android Tablet available. Though, there isn’t much competition, as most other companies have given up on tablets already. The only other Android tablets out there are from Huawei and Amazon. Which are usually not high-end, like the Galaxy Tab S6 is going to be.

It’s also going to have the S Pen, which is not a new feature, but what is new is where the S Pen will be housed. Instead of it going inside the tablet, like with the Galaxy Tab S4 or the Galaxy Note series, it’ll attach to the back of the tablet. And it will also charge wirelessly. It’s a bit of an interesting placement for the S Pen, but it should be a pretty good one.

The Galaxy Tab S6 is also coming in a few different colors. There’s a gray color, a pink or rose gold, and then a blueish color. Of course, Samsung will have some official names for these colors once it is announced. And they won’t be plain colors either.

Samsung is slated to announce the Galaxy Tab S6 at Unpacked next week, alongside the Galaxy Note10, Galaxy Note10+ and Galaxy Watch Active2. So it’s bound to be a pretty big event at the Barclay’s Center next Wednesday. With plenty of new toys being announced. It’ll be interesting to see if Samsung has any tricks up its sleeve for any of these devices, as we’ve already seen so much of them all.
