The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has finally made it to the U.S., thanks to Sprint. The phone is now available in select stores, but all Sprint’s retail stores will start selling it on September 6.
As you might recall, Sprint and OnePlus had previously announced that a 5G model was coming. And now it turns out the two were referring to the 5G variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro.
It will cost around $840 in the U.S., which will make it the cheapest 5G flagship in the country. With most premium phones retailing for a $1,000 or more, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is slightly more affordable.
For a limited time, qualifying customers can buy the 5G version of the OnePlus 7 Pro with no down payment and $35 every month on Sprint Flex lease.
Subscribers who activate a new line or upgrade can get their hands on the phone by paying $20 each month after a $15 credit.
Familiar Specs
The phone sports a 6.67-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support. The screen has been called buttery smooth by reviewers and it’s easy to see why. Embedded within the display is a fingerprint scanner.
The phone has a screen to body ratio of nearly 90-percent, thanks to the motorized 16-megapixel camera. On the back, there is a triple camera setup.
You get a primary 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. Inside the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset.
A 4000mAh battery keeps the light on and you can count on 30W fast charging to juice it up pretty quickly. According to one test, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G delivers the fastest speeds compared to competing 5G devices from Samsung, LG, and OPPO.
Since most of the early affordable 5G phones will most likely be sold by Chinese companies, the U.S. consumers will not have that many options. Huawei and Honor are outright banned in the country, and Xiaomi has also not been able to enter the market so far.
Thus, the arrival of the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G on Sprint is great news for early adopters. Of course, if you aren’t sold on OnePlus’s first 5G device, you can also consider the Galaxy S10 5G and LG V50 ThinQ, both of which are available on Sprint.
Sprint Continues To Expand Its 5G Network

In all, the carrier’s 5G network is now live in nine cities. The list includes Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Phoenix, Huston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Dallas-Fort Worth.
