The OnePlus 7T series is expected to launch soon. We were expecting a viable leak to come knocking sooner or later, and it finally did. Evan Blass aka @evleaks has just shared a sketch of the upcoming OnePlus 7T Pro.
Mr. Blass is a well-known tipster, needless to say, which leads us to believe this leak is legit. Based on the image provided by the source, the OnePlus 7T Pro will include a circular camera module on the back.
OnePlus 7T Pro name has not been confirmed just yet
Do note that the OnePlus 7T Pro name has not been confirmed yet, but chances are OnePlus will not step away from that branding. The OnePlus 7T Pro (4G) and its 5G alternative will probably look exactly the same.
Camera sensors are not visible in the provided image, we only see the general module which will cover the sensors. The device is expected to offer multiple sensors on the back, though. You can expect at least three cameras to be included, if not four.
You will notice that OnePlus’ logo sits right below the camera module portion, while OnePlus’ branding is moved further down. The power / lock button, and the alert slider are once again located on the right. The volume up and down buttons sit on the left, however.
The phone’s corners are rounded, while the general shape of the device’s back side seems to resemble the OnePlus 7 Pro. In fact, chances are that the front side will be quite similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro.
The source did not share any info regarding it, but OnePlus is expected to utilize a pop-up camera yet again. An under-display camera probably isn’t ready for primetime yet, so in order to keep such thin bezels, OnePlus is likely to utilize a pop-up camera.
OnePlus’ CEO has confirmed that a new 5G-enabled phone is coming, and this is probably what he meant. The OnePlus 7T naming probably won’t be confirmed until the event, or a couple of days prior to it, though.
The Snapdragon 855 Plus under the hood
The OnePlus 7T Pro is expected to arrive alongside the OnePlus 7T. Both of those phones will almost certainly ship with the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. That processor was announced quite recently, and is essentially the Snapdragon 855 on steroids.
Both phones will include UFS 3.0 storage, presuming that the smaller one becomes a reality, of course. The regular OnePlus 7T may resemble the OnePlus 7 Pro as well, this time around. OnePlus may utilize the OnePlus 6T’s design one more time, but that’s not likely, as this would be the third phone to feature it.
Chances are that the OnePlus 7T Pro will include a curved display, just like the OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7T probably will not, as it is expected to sport a flat fullHD+ panel. It remains to be seen if OnePlus plans to improve its fast charging even further with the OnePlus 7T series, or perhaps include wireless charging. Many users have been requesting a proper IP rating, so that’s also a possibility. We’re only guessing at this point, but OnePlus will start revealing bits and pieces of its upcoming phone(s) in the near future. That is a part of the company’s marketing strategy.
The OnePlus 7T series is expected to arrive to launch in India in September, while the US and Europe will get it in October. A recent report claims that the launch event will take place on October 15.
