UPDATE 1: Launch event for India will come sooner, on September 26. Ard Boudeling confirmed via Twitter.
ORIGINAL POST:OnePlus has just confirmed that the OnePlus 7T series will be announced on October 10. The launch event will take place in London, and will start at 5PM CEST / 4PM BST / 6AM PST.
Event tickets on sale soon
The company has also announced tickets sale for the event. Early-bird tickets will become available for purchase from September 20, and general tickets will go on sale from September 22.
In its press release which was sent to us, the company mentioned “exclusive merchandise”, and a copy of OnePlus’ first-ever magazine called “Addition”. That’s what you’ll receive if you participate, it seems.
Along with this announcement, the company released a promo video as well. The name of the video is “OnePlus 7T series – coming soon”, and it teases the design aspect of the OnePlus 7T series.
Teaser video confirms some OnePlus 7T series details
This video confirms that the power / lock button, and the alert slider will keep the same position as on the OnePlus 7 series. It also confirms that one of the two phones will have a flat display. That will be the OnePlus 7T, according to rumors and leaks.
The company will announce two phones during this event, the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. The OnePlus 7T Pro will look basically identical to the OnePlus 7 Pro, if leaks are anything to go by.
The phone is rumored to have a fingerprint-resistant glass on the back, but its design will remain unchanged in every other way. The same cannot be said for the OnePlus 7T.
OnePlus 7T will be the real upgrade compared to predecessor
The OnePlus 7T will sport a smaller notch than the OnePlus 7, but its back side will also be different. The phone will utilize a circular camera setup on the back, with three cameras. Its predecessor included “only” two.
The OnePlus 7T will also ship with a fullHD+ 90Hz display, while the OnePlus 7 included a fullHD+ 60Hz panel. The OnePlus 7T Pro will retain the same display as the OnePlus 7 Pro.
Both phones will come with Android 10 out of the box, with a new version of OxygenOS. That new version will almost certainly be called “OxygenOS 10”.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel both devices. That is essentially an upgraded variant of the Snapdragon 855, though it’s not that much more powerful than the Snapdragon 855.
Both devices will also include UFS 3.0 flash storage, and Warp Charge 30T. Rumors are claiming that Warp Charge 30T will be 20-percent faster than Warp Charge 30 which the OnePlus 7 Pro features.
