JBL has three new soundbars for your consideration. The JBL BAR 2.0 All-In-One, the JBL BAR 2.1 Deep Bass, and the JBL BAR 5.1 Surround. All three were announced as part of the ongoing IFA 2019 event.
Although these soundbars are comparable to each other, they do come with a slight emphasis designed to accommodate the specific needs of different consumers.
All of these soundbars come equipped with Bluetooth, and therefore are all suitable for connecting to a smartphone.
The soundbar for movie fans
The most expensive, and presumed to be the most premium is the JBL BAR 5.1 Surround. This is a full system in the sense it is comprised of a 40 inch bar and a separate 10 inch wireless subwoofer.
Breaking the bar down and inside is five full range drivers along with two side-firing tweeters. A combination that JBL suggests will offer movie fans a “a room-filling experience.”
The soundbar also employs the help of the company’s own MultiBeam technology. A solution that offers a surround sound-like experience without the need for any additional speakers. Adding to the feature list, the JBL BAR 5.1 Surround also features built-in Chromecast.
The JBL BAR 5.1 Surround is priced at $499.95 in the US and €599.99 in Europe.
The soundbar for bass
While the JBL BAR 5.1 Surround will inevitably supply a good amount of bass, JBL is offering up the JBL BAR 2.1 Deep Bass as a more affordable bass-focused solution.
Like the previous option, the JBL BAR 2.1 Deep Bass is also a system made up of a separate bar and subwoofer.
The overall power is significantly less than the BAR 5.1 Surround but still comes in at 300 watts overall. Likewise, the sub itself is considerably smaller, measuring in at 6.5 inches in size.
Overall, this is clearly designed to be more of a compact solution, but one that still packs a bass punch.
In terms of the price, the JBL BAR 2.1 Deep Bass is hitting the market at $299.95 in the US and €349.99 in Europe.

The compact JBL soundbar
Of the three new soundbars, the JBL BAR 2.0 All-In-One is not only the most affordable, but also the most compact.
Unlike the other two options, this one is not packaged with a separate sub and instead relies on the 24 inch bar and 80 watts to deliver the sound experience.
However there are some add-ons that will look to improve the sound in general. These include a built-in bass port and JBL Surround Sound.
The JBL BAR 2.0 All-In-One costs just $179.95 in the U.S. and €179.99 in Europe.
