The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have been leaking for weeks now. The two phones have been surfacing in both renders and real-time images, and believe it or not, the Pixel 4 now surfaced at a Variety event as well.
The Oh So Orange Pixel 4 made an appearance at a Variety event. The phone was spotted in the hands of Awkwafina, and was published by Ali Wong, on Instagram (in ‘Story’ format). Google will probably utilize influencers to promote the Pixel 4, which explains this image.
For those of you who do not know, Awkwafina actually appeared in Pixel 3a ads with 2 Chainz, so it’s possible and probable that she’ll promote the Pixel 4 as well. This Variety Pixel 4 image more or less confirms it.
Google Pixel 4 appeared at the Variety ‘Power of Women’ event
To be more exact, the phone appeared at the Variety ‘Power of Women’ event. That event was actually sponsored by the Google Pixel 4, which is why its logos are included everywhere.
That being said, some guests may have had some hands-on time with the phone before its launch. So, Awkwafina may not be the only one.
We’re not sure if she’s holding the Pixel 4 or the Pixel 4 XL, but considering the size of the phone, it’s possible that it’s the Pixel 4. It doesn’t really matter, though, as the two phones look exactly the same on the outside, save for the size difference.
The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will become official tomorrow. The two phones will be announced by Google during a press event which kicks off at 7AM PST / 10AM EST / 3PM BST / 4PM CET.
Both devices have a thick “forehead”
The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will both have a rather thick “forehead”. Well, it won’t be thick in general, but it will be considerably thicker than the phone’s “chin”.
There is a good reason for that, though. In addition to the selfie camera, the company will also cram quite a bit of sensors in there. In addition to your regular smartphone sensors, Google’s Project Soli setup will also be included. This will allow for Motion Sense functionality to be enabled. In other words, you’ll get some fancy air gestures with the Pixel 4, in some regions.
Both of these phones will be made out of metal and glass. Both of them will ship with Android 10, and be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 64-bit octa-core processor.
You’ll find 6GB of RAM on both phones, along with 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. Stereo speakers will also be a part of the package, as will 90Hz displays.
The Pixel 4 will include a 5.7-inch fullHD+ Smooth Display with 90Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 4 XL, on the other hand, will ship with a 6.3-inch QHD+ Smooth Display with 90Hz refresh rate.
