High-Quality Renders Let Loose The Moto E6 Play Design

After having tough times selling smartphones for a couple of years, Motorola seems to have found its mojo back. The Lenovo-owned phone maker has already launched several phones this year, with the Motorola One Macro being the most recent one. And the company doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

Dutch website Mobielkopen has got hold of high-quality renders of an unannounced Motorola smartphone. The renders suggest it to be a budget phone. By the looks of it, Motorola may launch this phone as Moto E6 Play. The company launched the Moto E6 Plus at IFA 2019 last month.

Moto E6 Play renders

As per the renders shared by Mobielkopen, the Moto E6 Play would be an entry-level smartphone. The device sports large bezels on all sides with no notch or cutout, which is kind of a trend these days. Even the cheapest of smartphones come with a display notch. The display itself appears to be a 16:9 panel.

Further, it has only a single rear camera with an LED flash, both placed in a horizontally positioned pill-shaped bump at the top left corner of the back panel. A capacitive fingerprint scanner resides under Motorola’s batwing-style logo.

The bottom edge of the phone has cutouts for a microphone and a micro-USB port. A 3.5mm headphone jack is placed on the top edge. The renders also reveal the button placement on this phone. Both the power button and volume control buttons are on the right edge. The power button also appears to feature grooves.

On the left edge, meanwhile, is the SIM tray. However, there’s no telling whether this device will offer a single SIM slot, a dual SIM plus Micro SD slot, or a hybrid slot. None of the renders reveal the position of a speaker on this phone.

Going by these renders, the Moto E6 Play will be offered in at least black and blue color options if and when it releases. The handset may also feature a gradient finish at the back.

Unfortunately, no further information regarding the specifications or release date for this handset is available at the moment. Pieces like this should start popping out as we inch closer to launch. For the record, Motorola is said to host an event in Brazil next week, on October 24 to be precise. The company is expected to unveil several smartphones, including the Moto G8 Plus, at the event. Whether the Moto E6 Play is a part of the plan or not remains to be seen.
