In addition to announcing the OnePlus 7T Pro at today’s event, the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition was also presented. Just to be clear, OnePlus also re-introduced the OnePlus 7T for the European market.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition looks a bit different than the regular 7T Pro
The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is essentially the OnePlus 7T Pro, with a different paint job. The McLaren Edition of the device comes with an interesting pattern under the rear glass panel. It’s not carbon fiber, though. On top of that, you will notice some orange accents splashed on the phone’s black color, which covers the vast majority of the phone. OnePlus used the so-called Papaya Orange color, which is McLaren’s signature color.
This handset has been made in collaboration with McLaren, just as the OnePlus 6T was. This phone actually reminds us of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, mainly because OnePlus combined Black and Papaya Orange colors
This phone also adopts the OnePlus 7T Pro’s spec sheet, for the most part. The McLaren Edition of the device adopts a different RAM and storage combo than the regular OnePlus 7T Pro. That’s the only difference, really.
The phone features three vertically-aligned cameras on the back. Below that, you’ll notice an LED flash, and OnePlus’ logo.
The device has really thin bezels. The bottom bezel is just a hair thicker than the rest of them. This special edition variant of the OnePlus 7T Pro also has a curved display, while a 3.5mm headphone jack is not included.
90Hz display, Snapdragon 855 Plus & 12GB of RAM
The device features a 6.65-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 855 Plus fuels the device, that’s the very same SoC that fuels the regular OnePlus 7T (and the regular Pro model, of course).
The phone is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. OnePlus used the fastest mobile RAM out there, LPDDR4X. The same goes for storage, as UFS 3.0 flash storage is used here.
A 4,085mAh battery powers the device, and the phone supports Warp Charge 30T. That fast wired charging is 24-percent faster than Warp Charge 30, which comes with the OnePlus 7 series.
Android 10 comes pre-installed on the 7T Pro McLaren Edition. On top of Google’s OS, you’ll find OnePlus’ OxygenOS 10.
On the back of the device, you’ll notice 48, 8, and 16-megapixel cameras. This phone actually has the same camera setup as the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro. A single 16-megapixel camera is included on the front.
The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition will become available in Europe starting on November 5. The phone will be priced at £799 in the UK, while we still do not know its price tag for the rest of Europe. It will be an equivalent to the price in the UK, though.
UPDATE: The price tag for the rest of Europe is €859.
