PUBG MOBILE has launched its new Payload Mode for players. The new mode aims to amp things up to eleven by letting you fight with helicopters, among other things.
The new gameplay mode was first announced back on October 16. At the time however the mode was not live and players could not participate in it.
Things have changed as the mode went live this morning. During the initial announcement Tencent stated Payload Mode would be going live later this month. It didn’t mention a time or date though.
The Payload Mode in PUBG MOBILE is not the only new addition
Payload Mode is definitely the center of attention for this new small patch update. That being said it’s not the only new addition to the game.
Tencent and PUBG Corp. have also added a handful of other in-game content.
For example, as part of the whole Walking Dead collaboration players can now acquire a Rick Grimes skin for their character.
If you’ve been playing PUBG MOBILE since the collaboration with The Walking Dead started, you likely know of the ability to grab Daryl Dixon’s motorcycle.
Which was the other big addition to the game, as well as the Walking Dead board game that players needed to participate into acquire it.
You only have until Nov. 8 to grab the Rick Grimes skin
The Walking Dead collaboration won’t last forever. And as such you only have a limited amount of time to get the Rick Grimes skin.
The event that added in starts today, but it ends on November 8 so you have just a little over a week to get it if you want it. In other words, don’t procrastinate if you find the skin appealing.
In addition to the new skin and the new game mode, players will also be able to get their hands on new weapons and items. For example, there are now super weapon crates to look out for as well as an air strike beacon to call in air strikes and create surprise attacks.
There are vehicle repair packs too, just in case you need to repair one of those fancy new helicopters. As for the weapons, these are new weapons which are for the Payload Mode specifically.
Such as the RPG-7, the M3E1-A, the M79 Grenade Launcher, and the M134 Minigun. All of this new content is already live, so if you play you should be able to open the game and get right to it.
