Huawei has had its fair share of problems recently. However, that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing new devices. Nor has it stopped the leaking of upcoming Huawei devices. Here’s the latest Huawei leak for you.
Over the last few weeks a number of new Huawei devices have surfaced. Today we can add to the latest Huawei leak cycle by providing some additional information on some of those devices.
Specifically, the Huawei P Smart 2020 smartphone, Huawei’s new “hole-punch tablet,” and the Huawei Nova 6 smartphone.
Leak #1: The colorful Huawei P Smart 2020
The Huawei P Smart 2020 is not a completely unknown smartphone as it recently passed through the Chinese regulatory authority, TENAA.
That happened a couple of weeks ago and provided some details on the specs of the Huawei P Smart 2020, as well as select images of the phone.
While those images were simply of the rather generic black edition of the phone, the listing did also mention the device would be available in green.
That’s a color Android Headlines can now not only confirm, but also show you. As an additional bonus, we can also confirm another, more fun color is coming.
Currently going by the name “Aquaman,” the P Smart 2020 will be available in a variety of colors. This includes, in typical Huawei fashion, an iridescent gradient version.
In terms of the specs, the previous TENAA listing revealed the P Smart 2020 will come with a 6.3-inch OLED display along with a 2400 x 1080 resolution.
Inside, the P Smart 2020 is expected to come loaded with your choice of either 4, 6, or 8GB RAM and either 64 or 128GB storage. The same unnamed 2.2GHz octa-core SoC will power all variations.
Some of the other features mentioned include Android 9 Pie, a 3,900 mAh capacity battery, 16 megapixel front-facing camera, and a rear triple-camera setup.
This three-way camera combo includes a 48 megapixel main sensor, along with 2 and 8 megapixel additional sensors.
It remains unclear exactly when the P Smart 2020 will launch.
Leak #2: More hole-punch tablet colors
If you’re more interested in tablets than smartphones, then a recent Huawei leak points to a new one coming.
Details on this tablet first surfaced earlier in October with leaked images showcasing the design. Codenamed “Marx,” the device was said to be the MediaPad M7 at the time. Since then, it has emerged this might actually be named the MatePad Pro.
Whatever its name, the big design point to note is the hole-punch in the top left corner of the display. A design choice which suggests this will be the first tablet to come with a hole-punch camera.
The previous leak pointed out this tablet will be available in two colors, black or white. Android Headlines can confirm while that’s true, there’s other colorways en route as well.
You’ll be able to buy this tablet in black, white, green and orange, at a minimum.
Besides the colors, there’s not much else new to report on. Specifications remain largely unknown at this moment, although it is clear from these (and the previous images) that the tablet will also boast dual-cameras on the back.
The previous leak(s) did also point to an under-display fingerprint reader and M-Pen stylus support.
That is, in addition to compatibility with Huawei’s magnetic keyboard.
Leak #3: Huawei Nova 6 4G coming soon
Last, but by no means least, is the Huawei Nova 6 4G. This is another of the Huawei devices that’s leaked in the past days and weeks.
The previous Huawei leak highlighted this phone will be available in both 4G and 5G flavors. Although what was clearly the big talking point was the use of a dual hole-punch display cutout.
Similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S10+, the Nova 6 4G will come with a hole-punch display housing two front cameras.
Android Headlines can once again confirm this point and also expand on the color choices. The previous leak specifically highlighted this phone will be available in blue.
As to be expected, it will also be available in black. Possibly less expected, the Nova 6 will also be available in purple.
Likely to be of greater interest, Android Headlines is of the understanding the date shown on the front of the device is when the Nova 6 will be officially announced. If correct, interested parties can expect the Nova 6 to be unveiled on or around December 5.
This date would seem to make chronological sense considering the Nova 4 launched in December of last year, followed by the Nova 5 in June of this year.
Besides the dual-camera hole-punch, recent rumors have pointed to the Nova 6 also arriving with 40-watt fast charging support.
