In addition to announcing the HONOR View30 series, HONOR has also introduced a new smartphone. The watch in question is the HONOR MagicWatch 2, which reminds us of a lot of the Huawei Watch GT2.
That is not surprising, though, as HONOR is owned by Huawei, after all. This new smartwatch is made out of metal, and it comes with two physical buttons on the right. If they are anything like the ones on the Watch GT2, then they’re very tactile.
The HONOR MagicWatch 2 is a circular smartwatch equipped with Kirin A1 SoC
This is a circular smartwatch, and it is fueled by the Kirin A1, one of the company’s newer chips. This chip is made for wearables, and it is the same chip that Huawei used in the Watch GT2.
This watch comes in two variants, actually, you can get it in 42mm and 46mm flavors. The smaller watch will cost €179 in Europe, while the larger one will be priced at €189.
This smartwatch is equipped with 15 fitness modes that you can utilize. It includes 8 outdoor and 7 indoor fitness modes, ranging from running and hiking to indoor pool swimming and a rowing machine.
This watch also comes with 13 professional indoor and outdoor running courses, from beginner to advanced levels. It is no secret that this is a fitness-oriented smartwatch, even though it looks quite sleek.
TruSleep 2.0 tech is a part of the package, along with TruRelax & TruSeen
The watch is also equipped with Huawei’s TruSleep 2.0 technology. It can track and diagnose six common types of sleep disorders, and provide over 200 corresponding suggestions tailored to your sleeping habits. All that with a goal to improve your sleep quality.
Huawei’s TruRelax and TruSeen technologies are also included here. The watch is also water-resistant up to 50 meters, and it can monitor your heart rate even if you’re under water.
You can make calls using this watch. You can use its built-in speaker and a microphone, as long as you’re within 150 meters from your phone. The HONOR MagicWatch 2 can also push notifications to your wrist, of course.
The watch will also deliver weather info to your wrist, while you can use it as an alarm clock as well. The Find My Phone feature is built into the watch as well, by the way.
The smaller HONOR MagicWatch 2 includes a 1.2-inch 390 x 390 AMOLED display. The larger one features a 1.39-inch 454 x 454 AMOLED panel. Both watches come with watch faces which you can personalize.
Both variants of the HONOR MagicWatch 2 include 4GB of internal storage, of which you can use 2GB for music storage. This way you do not even need to have your phone around.
The HONOR MagicWatch 2 will be available Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, German, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, the Philippines, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, and the UK. It will go on sale starting from December 12.
