Huawei P40 Pro May Include a 5,500mAh Graphene Battery & 120Hz Display

The Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2020. We haven’t really seen much information regarding either of the two devices thus far, but some info just leaked. This new information claims that the P40 Pro will include a graphene battery, amongst other things, but we’ll get into it down below.

This information surfaced on Telegram, and it shares quite a bit of detail, in fact. Both the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are tagged on this post on Telegram, even though most of this info is probably specific to the P40 Pro.

Huawei’s upcoming flagship(s) will include a 120Hz display, penta camera system & more

According to the shared info, the Huawei P40 Pro will feature a 6.5-inch QHD+ OLED display. That will be a Waterfall display, which means that its display will be heavily curved.

Speaking of the display, the phone is expected to include a display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will feature a 98-percent screen-to-body ratio, allegedly. If this ends up being true, the P40 Pro’s bezels will be hardly noticeable.

It is also noted that you can expect to get a penta camera system on the back, with Leica’s lenses. Some camera info was also shared by the source.

It is claimed that the P40 Pro will include 64-megapixel (Sony’s IMX686 1/1.7-inch sensor with OIS support), 20-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 12-megapixel Periscope-style camera, macro camera, and a ToF (Time-of-Flight) sensor.

EMUI 10 will come pre-installed on this phone, and the device will be capable of 4K recording. It will include a dual punch hole on the front, and one of its cameras on the front will be an ultrawide one.

We don’t know if this means that it will include a pill-shaped display cutout, or will those two cameras be separated in some way. In any case, the P40 Pro will sport a display camera hole. Most of this information applies to the P40 as well, probably.

The Huawei P40 Pro may include a graphene battery & 50W charging

On top of everything we’ve mentioned, the source also shared some battery information. The source claims that the P40 Pro will feature a graphene battery.

The phone will include graphene materials to the positive and negative electrodes and electrolytes. The phone will sport a 5,500mAh battery, but its capacity will be 70-percent of the regular lithium batteries, claims the source.

This rumor also says that the phone will support 50W fast wired charging. That will make sure that the phone is charged from 0 to 100-percent in only 45 minutes. The last piece of information says that the P40 and P40 Pro will be fueled by the Kirin 990, and that we can expect 5G as well.

This is a lot to take in. Take all of this information with a grain of salt, though, as this leak kind of came out of nowhere. If the P40 (Pro) ends up sporting such specifications, it will be a rather interesting phone. More information will probably follow in the near future.
