OnePlus has started rolling out a new OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 7T series. This new update, first and foremost, improves camera quality, and optimizes RAM management on the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro.
There are more inclusions in these changelogs, though. Let’s first mention that the two changelogs are not completely identical. They are quite similar, but there is one difference, as the 7T Pro has one extra entry.
The OnePlus 7T is getting the update under the OxygenOS 10.0.7 banner, while OxygenOS 10.0.5 is rolling out to the OnePlus 7T Pro.
These two updates improve camera quality on both OnePlus 7T handsets
We’ll first list the identical entries in these two changelogs. This update, on both the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, improves camera quality. The exact changes in that regard have not been listed by the company, though.
RAM management has also been optimized on both phones here, while the same goes for the launching speed of some apps. The company has also optimized / fixed the black and white screen issues with some applications.
Both devices have received the Android security patch for November thanks to this update, while general system stability and bug fixes have been rolled out as well.
Now, the OnePlus 7T Pro has one extra entry in the changelog. The company has fixed black lines on the screen while charging the device. Some 7T Pro units have been experiencing this issue.
That is pretty much everything the company listed. This update is already rolling out to both devices, though do note that you may not get it straight away.
It is rolling out to a small number of users first, and if everything goes according to plan, everyone will get it within a week or so. If not, OnePlus will halt the update.
As you can see, this update will not add new features to either of the two devices. OnePlus is still focused on polishing the experience on both devices.
Some new features will hopefully arrive soon
Some new features have been hinted at by the company, though. The company has promised to figure out the always-on feature on its devices, and also provide a one-hand mode, amongst other things.
They did not specify what devices will get them first, or where. We’re hoping the company will provide some new features in the near future, though, even though fixes / optimizations / improvements are always welcomed as well, of course.
