Samsung’s second foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip, will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855+. This information comes from Max Weinbach, a tipster who is on a roll lately.
Mr. Weinbach was the first person who shared real-life images of the Galaxy S20+, while he also shared plenty of Galaxy S20 series info, and the same goes for the Galaxy Z Flip.
The Galaxy Z Flip will almost certainly be fueled by the Snapdragon 855+
Considering the source, this information is probably accurate. Now, that’s not the only new piece of info that got shared. The same source talked about the phone’s folding features.
It seems like you’ll be able to lock the Galaxy Z Flip into two different positions, with 90 and 180-degree angles. If you lock in under a 90-degree angle, that will automatically serve as a kickstand, so it actually has a practical usage. As you can see in an animated image provided below.

If you do that, apps like Google Duo and the phone’s camera will only use the top part of the screen. Other app developers will probably take advantage of this as well, at least some of them. We’re also sure many other Samsung apps will take advantage of this feature.
Mr. Weinbach recently shared some Galaxy Z Flip information that we already talked about. He confirmed that the phone will feature a capacitive fingerprint scanner on the right.
On top of that, he said that it will include two 12-megapixel cameras on the back, wide and ultra-wide units. 15W charging will be supported as well, while wireless and reverse charging will be included too.
Samsung’s Ultra Thin Glass will also be a part of the package
Samsung will use ‘Samsung Ultra Thin Glass’ for this display, and it will have a crease, unfortunately. Speaking of the display, you can expect the company’s Dynamic AMOLED display under that glass.
The Galaxy Z Flip will become official on February 11, if rumors are accurate. The company is allegedly planning to introduce this phone along with the Galaxy S20 series.
The Galaxy Z Flip will fold vertically, as you can see in an animated image above. The phone will feature really thin bezels, and a centered display camera hole.
The phone will look much sleeker than the Galaxy Fold, it seems, as its bezels will be much thinner, and a large notch will not be a part of the offering.
You can expect this phone to pack a lot of RAM and storage, but we don’t know how much at the moment. Android 10 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Samsung’s custom UI.
