Samsung Galaxy S20 Series To Become Available On March 13: Report

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series smartphones will become available on March 13, claims Frandroid. That information is, at least, valid for France.

Samsung usually makes its flagships available all around the world at the same time, in the vast majority of main markets. Well, that will probably be the case with the Galaxy S20 as well, which means this could be the release date for other markets as well.

The Galaxy S20 series coming on March 13, starting at €900

The source also claims that the pricing will start at €900 in France, that will be the price for the Galaxy S20 unit. For those of you who do not know, the Galaxy S20 series will become official on February 11 in San Francisco.

Samsung had already scheduled that press event, and it plans to announce three S20 handsets. Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra.

Now, Ishan Agarwal actually said quite recently that the Galaxy S20 series will probably become available on / around March 13, so this info may be accurate.

In addition to the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy Z Flip on February 11. The Galaxy Z Flip will become the company’s second foldable smartphone.

That device is expected to fold vertically, and be fueled by the Snapdragon 855. It will include thinner bezels than the Galaxy Fold, and will probably be considerably more affordable.

Now, in terms of the Galaxy S20 price tags, Max Weinbach revealed such info recently. According to him, the Galaxy S20 5G will cost between €900 and €1000. The Galaxy S20+ 5G will be priced at €1,050-1,100, while the S20 Ultra 5G will cost €1,300.

He did say that the prices may be a bit lower than he reported. So, you can expect them to be a bit more affordable, but not by much. Prices will also vary slightly from one market to the other.

The Snapdragon 865 will fuel the S20 devices in most markets

All three Galaxy S20 handsets will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865 in most markets. The Indian model will probably ship with the Exynos 990, but the Snapdragon 865 is expected in Europe, China, and the US.

All three phones will be made out of metal and glass, and will include a display camera hole. All phones will sport a curved display, but that curve will not be as pronounced as before.

Android 10 will come pre-installed on all units. Along with it, you’ll get Samsung’s custom UI, One UI 2.1. An in-display fingerprint scanner is also expected, and the same goes for an interesting rear camera setup. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will be the most powerful handset that Samsung will announce, and it will be the only one to include a periscope-style camera.
