Ulefone Says World's First Android 10 Rugged Phone Is Coming, The Armor X7

Ulefone has just confirmed that it is planning to unveil the world’s first Android 10 rugged phone, the Armor X7. The company did not share much info about the phone thus far, though.

Just to be clear, this is not a full announcement of the device itself, but just a notice that the phone is coming. Ulefone did reveal some spec info when it comes to this phone, but not everything.

Ulefone claims the Armor X7 will become the world’s first Android 10 rugged device

The company claims that the Armor X7 will become the very first Android 10 rugged smartphone. It will be fueled by a 12nm quad-core processor, though Ulefone did not reveal which one. It will be one of MediaTek’s chips, though, almost certainly.

This device will include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. We still do not know if that storage will be expandable, but it probably will.

A 13-megapixel camera will be placed on the back of the phone, while a single 5-megapixel unit will be placed on the phone’s front side. A 4,000mAh battery will also be a part of the package.

A fingerprint scanner will be included as well, and the same goes for facial scanning. This phone will use its selfie camera to scan your face, by the way.

The company also confirmed that the Armor X7 will support two SIM card slots, global frequency bands, and that it will include an NFC chip.

The device will also be IP68/IP69K certified, which was to be expected as this is a rugged phone. We still do not know if the MIL-STD-810G certification will also be a part of the package.

The device will be extremely affordable

Based on these specs, the Armor X7 will be extremely affordable. This is clearly an entry-level rugged smartphone, and the fact it will include Android 10 out of the box is great news.

Ulefone also shared two images of the device with us, and you can check them out down below. As you can see, Ulefone’s logo will be placed below the display, and also on the back of the phone.

The device’s bezels will be quite thick, but that’s not surprising for a rugged phone at this price range. The phone’s body will be reinforced for drops and whatnot.

The Ulefone Armor X7 will be launched in the near future. Ulefone did not specify when exactly can we expect the phone to fully launch and become available, but we’re guessing it will happen in a couple of weeks, at the latest.
