Samsung has just announced a new big battery smartphone, the Galaxy M21. This smartphone has been announced in India, and it has an extremely affordable price tag. More on that later.
The Galaxy M21 is made out of polycarbonate, and it offers thin bezels
The Samsung Galaxy M21 is made out of polycarbonate (plastic). The device does offer fairly thin bezels, though, and it comes with a waterdrop display notch. It offers a flat display, while its power / lock, volume up, and volume down buttons are on the right.
The phone offers a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while Samsung’s logo is also placed on the back. There are three cameras included on the back of this phone, and they are vertically-aligned.
The back side of the device is curved on the edges, but it’s flat for the most part. The phone offers rounded corners, and the same can be said for its display corners as well.
The phone features two SIM card slots, and on top of that, it also offers a dedicated microSD card slot. In other words, you can use two SIM card slots, and expand your storage at the same time.
This smartphone features a 6.4-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) Infinity-U Super AMOLED display. That display is protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 3, by the way.
The phone is fueled by the Exynos 9611 64-bit octa-core processor. This is a 10nm chip, by the way. The phone also includes 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB / 128GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage. That storage is expandable up to 512GB.
A large 6,000mAh battery is also a part of the package
Android 10 comes pre-installed on the device, along with Samsung’s One UI 2.0 skin. A 6,000mAh battery is also a part of the package, and it supports 15W fast wired charging.
A 3.5mm headphone jack is included, and the same goes for the FM Radio, and Dolby Atmos support. The phone also supports Bluetooth 5, in case you were wondering.
A 48-megapixel camera is placed on the back of this phone as its main camera. In addition to that, you’ll also find an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera (123-degree angle, f/2.2 aperture), and a 5-megapixel camera (depth sensor, f/2.2 aperture).
A 20-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.0 aperture) is also included in the package. The phone is 8.9mm thick, and it weighs 188 grams. We still do not know its full dimensions.
The device has been announced in Midnight Blue and Raven Black color variants. Its 4GB RAM model with 64GB of storage is priced at Rs. 12,999. A 128GB storage variant will be available, but we still don’t know its price tag. The phone will go on sale in India on March 23.
