Global Xiaomi Mi 10 5G To Cost Almost €300 More Than The Chinese Model

The global variant of the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G will cost a lot more than the Chinese model. The global Xiaomi Mi 10 5G is set to cost €799, while the Chinese model now costs CNY3,999 (€520).

In terms of the design, and internals, these two models are the same. The Chinese variant will not include Google services, but that’s pretty much the only difference between them.

Global variants of Xiaomi’s flagships are usually more expensive than their Chinese counterparts. That is expected considering there are costs related to shipping, customs, tax, and so on.

The global Xiaomi Mi 10 5G’s cost is way higher than it should be, compared to the Chinese model

They are never this much more expensive, though. €280 is a huge price difference, no matter what way you look at it. Xiaomi consumers are used to lower price tags, even for flagship phones, so it will be interesting to see how many people will be interested in getting the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G in Europe.

This price difference is not limited to the Mi 10 5G either, the same goes for the Mi 10 Pro 5G. The same variant of that phone costs an equivalent of €662 in China, while it will cost €999 in Europe.

That is a price difference of €332. So, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G’s cost will be even more pronounced. We do hope that Xiaomi will offer some sort of an explanation for this.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 5G and Mi 10 Pro 5G are expected to go on sale in Europe soon. In Spain it will go on sale on April 15, while it will become available a week early in Germany. Its release date is different from one country to the other.
