The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro details have been leaking for a couple of weeks now, and now full spec sheets have surfaced. This information comes from WinFuture.de.
The OnePlus 8 series full spec sheets have leaked
Ishan Agarwal had published a lot of spec details when it comes to these two phones quite recently. Well. WinFuture.de is here to fill in the gaps. So, let’s get straight to it, first we’ll talk about what they in common.
The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865 64-bit octa-core processor. Both devices will ship with Android 10, and OxygenOS on top of it.
Both devices will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants, and it will be UFS 3.0 flash storage in both cases. You won’t be able to expand the storage on either of them.
An in-display fingerprint scanner will be placed on both devices (optical), while both phones will support Warp Charge 30T fast wired charging. This is 30W fast charging, for those of you keeping track.
Bluetooth 5.1 will be included in both phones, while both will support face scanning. Two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM) will be a part of both phones, and the same goes for an NFC chip. Both devices will also support 5G.
Stereo speakers will also be included in both smartphones. Speaking of which, Dolby Atmos support will also be on board, as will UFS 3.1 Type-C port, and WiFi 6.
That’s about it as far as spec similarities go, let’s move to the differences now. We’ll start with the OnePlus 8, and will then list what’s different on the ‘Pro’ model.
The OnePlus 8 will include a 6.55-inch 90Hz display, with three cameras on the back
The OnePlus 8 will feature a 6.55-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. This phone will offer a display aspect ratio of 20:9, and will support HDR10+.
The phone will arrive in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, and we’re looking at LPDDR4X RAM here. A single 16-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX471 sensor, f/2.0 aperture lens, fixed focus, EIS) will be placed on the front side of this phone.
A 48-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX586 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, OIS/EIS) will sit on the back of the device. A 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera (f/2.2 aperture, 116-degree field of view) will also be placed on the back. The third and last camera on the back will be a 2-megapixel macro camera (1.75um pixel size, f/2.4 aperture, PDAF).
This handset will sport a 4,300mAh battery, and we’ve already talked about charging, it will only support wired charging. The phone will arrive in Onyx Black, Glacial Green, and Interstellar Glow color variants. It will measure 160.2 x 72.9 x 8.0mm, and weigh 180 gram.s
The ‘Pro’ model will sport a 6.78-inch 120Hz display, with LPDDR5 RAM & four rear cameras
The OnePlus 8 Pro, on the other hand, will sport a 6.78-inch QHD+ (3168 x 1440) Fluid AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. We’re looking at a display aspect ratio of 19.8:9 here. This phone will support HDR10+ as well, and will include a MEMC chip.
The ‘Pro’ model will arrive in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants as well, but OnePlus will include LPDDR5 RAM here. A single 16-megapixel camera will be placed on the front, with the same sensors as the OnePlus 8. It will be Sony’s IMX471 sensor with fixed focus and EIS, but the lens will be different. This model will include an f/2.4 aperture lens.
A 48-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX689 sensor, f/1.78 aperture lens, 1.12um pixel size, OIS/EIS) main camera will be placed on the back of this phone. A 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera (Sony’s IMX586, f/2.2 aperture, 120-degree field of view) will also be included on the back.
The third camera on the back will be an 8-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture, OIS, 3x hybrid zoom). The fourth one will be a 5-megapixel unit with a color filter (f/2.4 aperture, PDAF). Unlike the regular model, the ‘Pro’ unit will include laser autofocus on the back.
A 4,510mAh battery will be included on this phone. Aside from wired charging, this handset will also offer support for wireless and reverse wireless charging. It will support 30W wireless charging, and 3W reverse wireless charging.
The OnePlus 8 Pro will also come with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The phone will ship in Onyx Black, Glacial Green, and Ultramarine Blue color options. It will measure 165.3 x 74.4 x 8.5mm, and weigh 199 grams.
