OnePlus 8 Series Is Launching Today, Watch The Livestream Here

The OnePlus 8 series press event livestream starts at 8AM PST

This will be an online-only event, and it will start at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST / 5 PM CET. The company will announce its new OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro flagships during this press event, along with some additional hardware.

OnePlus’ very first wireless charger will become official, a 30W wireless charger. In addition to that, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z earphones will also make an appearance.

That’s not all. The company is planning to announce a number of cases for the OnePlus 8 series of devices, and also screen protectors. All of that information is based on the leaked content that we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks.

OnePlus will also host an online-only pop-up even after the press event livestream is over, and during it, users will be able to get the OnePlus 8 series early.

OnePlus usually hosts such pop-up events in a number of cities around the world, actual physical event. Due to the current health crisis in the world, however, the company was forced to change its plans.

A ton of detail regarding the two devices surfaced

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are more or less an open book at this point. Leaks have been quite persistent and revealed quite a few details about both of these smartphones.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will look extremely similar. The ‘Pro’ model will be somewhat larger, and will include an extra camera on the back. It will also include laser autofocus, and different LED flash placement.

Those are basically the only differences between the two phones. They will both be made out of metal and glass, and includes curved displays. Speaking of which, both devices will include a single display camera hole as well.

The Snapdragon 865 will fuel both devices, and will ship with the Snapdragon X55 model for 5G connectivity. Both phones will ship with Android 10, with OxygenOS on top of it.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is the only one that will offer a QHD+ 120Hz display, however. It is also the only phone that will offer IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, and wireless charging.
