The OnePlus 8 phones were officially announced today and alongside them, OnePlus unveiled a range of new cases that you can pick up.
These are cases for both versions of the new phone, the standard and the pro model. The entire lineup of cases are bumper cases which fully cover the device. With a variety of options in different colors and styles to meet the personal taste of just about anyone.
If you’re not worried too much about the style of the case, then you might consider something like the clear shell bumper case. This covers the entire phone so it does protect it from scratches and scuffs, but it’s also clear so you can see the color of your new device.
The OnePlus 8 cases start at $24.95
The prices on the OnePlus 8 cases will vary depending on which style of case you pick.
You also can’t get every case style for both phones. The clear bumper and nylon bumper are only for the OnePlus 8. At least for now. OnePlus may always choose to release them for the OnePlus 8 Pro later on.
When it comes to prices you can grab the clear bumper and the sandstone bumper for just $24.95. The Sandstone bumper for the OnePlus 8 Pro is $24.95 as well.
Meanwhile the nylon bumper for the OnePlus 8 is $34.95, and the karbon bumper is $39.95 and is available for both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro models. The sandstone bumpers also come in multiple color options.
You can choose black, cyan, or smoky purple for the OnePlus 8, and black or cyan for the OnePlus 8 Pro.
The cases are “coming soon”
OnePlus doesn’t list a release date for any of the cases. On the company’s website they’re only listed as coming soon.
There’s a big chance that they will go on sale at the same time or just before the phones though. The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are due to go on sale on April 29. So consumers may be able to purchase cases for them sometime around that date.
It’s also worth keeping in mind that these are the official cases from OnePlus. You can already find a pretty wide selection of alternative third-party options on Amazon. That is if you want to be prepared with a case before the phone gets to you.
Some of or most of the cases on Amazon are also shipping and probably arriving before the phones launch. Meaning you’d be able to slip your phone into some protection the moment you get it.
