Cricket Wireless is expanding its affordable smartphones lineup in the US with three new models. The Samsung Galaxy A01, Nokia C2 Tava, and Nokia C5 Endi are all coming to the carrier’s network.
The Galaxy A01 and Nokia C2 Tava are, in fact, already available to buy through the Cricket Wireless online store, as well as through its offline retail stores across the nation. Both of these handsets are priced at $109.99.
The Nokia C5 Endi, meanwhile, will be available starting June 5. It will also be available through both online and offline channels for a price of $169.99.
Additionally, Cricket Wireless is also offering a “Vibrant Steel” variant of the Nokia C2 Tava for just $69.99. This device will be available offline only starting June 15.
All of these phones will be available through Cricket Phone Payment Plan (PPP). Customers can pay just $49 upfront and pay the remaining amount in weekly, biweekly, or monthly installments for up to 12 months.
Samsung Galaxy A01 comes to Cricket Wireless
Samsung‘s newest entry-level smartphone features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. There’s an octa-core quad 1.95 GHz + quad 1.45GHz Snapdragon 439 processor under the hood with 2GB of RAM variants and 16GB internal storage. It supports MicroSD cards of up to 512GB capacity.
The handset packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls. The 3,000 mAh battery is rated to power the phone all throughout the day.
Nokia C2 Tava specifications
The Nokia C2 Tava offers a similar set of specs as the Samsung Galaxy A01. It features a 5.45-inch HD+ notch-less display with hardened glass. The quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor powers this phone, with support from 2GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM.
This phone also gets a dual rear camera setup with an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Although it packs a 3,000 mAh battery, Nokia promises a 2-day battery life thanks to its AI-assisted Adaptive Battery technology.
The Nokia C2 Tave comes in a Tempered Blue color and runs Android 10 out of the box. The company says it diecast metal chassis with polymer shell can withstand everyday bumps and tumbles comfortably.
Nokia C5 Endi specifications
This phone is the most expensive of the trio and is expectedly better specced as well. It features a big 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, much like the one you can see on the Galaxy A01. There’s a more powerful MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor under the hood, with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage capacity.
The triple rear camera setup consists of a 13-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a depth sensor. The Nokia C5 Endi also gets a bigger 4,000 mAh battery that can keep the phone running for up to two days on a single charge.
This phone is has a “high-tech” polycarbonate body and can take on the everyday knocks of life. Nokia is offering this phone in a Deep Midnight Blue color. Both Nokia phones feature AI Face Unlock and a Google Assistant Button.
