Stadia Pro members have received quite a few free games since Stadia launched, and June is shaping up to be the biggest month yet.
Google just confirmed this morning that it will be giving away six free games to Stadia Pro members in June. You read that right, six. When typically Google has given away two to three games, Google has seen fit to pile on even more.
Technically, there has never been a cap on how many games Google will give away. Prior to Stadia’s launch last year, Google said it would always give away at least one. But it never set a maximum.
Also worth noting is that not all six games will be free on June 1.
Five games come to Stadia Pro on June 1
Like with every month, Google’s initial crop of free games will be available to Pro members the first day of the month. All but one. ESO.
The Elder Scrolls Online is included in the free games this month. But it isn’t being released on Stadia until the 16th. So it won’t be rolled into the free lineup until then.
On June 1, Get Packed, Little Nightmares, Power Rangers Battle For The Grid, Super Hot, and the Panzer Dragoon reboot will all be free. Out of those five, Get Packed is the only game that’s already available. Which means June 1 is the launch date for the other four.
June 1 is also Monday, so after the weekend is over Pro members will have a lot more stuff to play, as the total number of Pro games after these drop will be 17. 18 once ESO launches mid-month.
Keep in mind games will be cycled out
As is the way of things, games will be cycled out of the Pro lineup eventually. So while the total number of games that are free to Pro members in the middle of next month will rise to 18, Google will take some of the games out of the Pro lineup soon after.
Likely in July. All that means of course is that you won’t be able to claim them for free if you don’t do so before they’re removed. Anyone who has already claimed a free game will never have it taken away.
That’s all the more reason to ensure you claim every free title that you can right now. Because even if you don’t plan on playing them now, you might end up wanting to later. So why not take Google up on its offer and snag them at no cost.
