Mobvoi has officially launched a new Wear OS smartwatch called the TicWatch C2+. It’s an upgrade to the TicWatch C2 launched in 2018. On the design front, the new TicWatch C2+ looks identical to its predecessor.
The TicWatch C2 is already one of the best-looking smartwatches with a minimalist design and round display. Apart from doubling the amount of RAM, the hardware also remains the same on both the smartwatches.

With 1GB of RAM, the TicWatch C2+ should provide a more seamless experience. In addition, it offers new watch faces and an extra color-matching silicone strap. Unfortunately, the company has decided to stick with the four-year-old Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform.
The newer Snapdragon Wear 3100 is a bit more power-efficient, which results in longer battery life. On the front, we are looking at a 1.3 inch circular AMOLED display with 360 by 360 pixels resolution. It is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
Just like the other Wear OS smartwatches, the new TicWatch C2+ also comes with the built-in Google Assistant. The 400mAh battery on this smartwatch is claimed to offer up to 2 days of battery life. With NFC support, it can be used for contactless payments through Google Pay.
The TicWatch C2+ comes in 18mm and 20mm sizes.
The device has 4GB of internal storage for installing apps or storing music locally. In terms of sensors, the TicWatch C2+ sports an accelerometer, gyroscope, and a heart-rate sensor. With this hardware, the TicWatch C2+ should be a great wearable for fitness tracking.
It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1. This smartwatch can be paired with an iOS or Android smartphone. It runs on the latest version of the Wear OS platform out of the box. The TicWatch C2+ comes with a stainless steel case and a genuine leather strap.
The leather strap can be interchanged with the provided silicone strap during a workout or swimming session. While the 20mm variant comes in Onyx and Platinum colors, the 18mm variant will be available only in Rose Gold color. In the US, the new TicWatch C2+ will retail for $209.99. It is currently available on Amazon and Mobvoi’s official website.
While there are decent alternatives to the TicWatch C2+ even at a slightly lower price point, none of them run on Wear OS. Also, the sleek design of the TicWatch sets it apart from the affordable smartwatches.
