The OnePlus Z launch date has just surfaced, as Android Central claims that the phone will launch on July 10. The device will allegedly launch in India, and this information is provided by “a reliable source”.
Max J., a well-known tipster, recently said that the phone is coming in July. He did not share an exact date, though. So, we’re pretty sure it’s coming in July, and this could be its launch date, but take it with a grain of salt.
The OnePlus Z may launch on July 10 in India
The phone will launch in India, it seems, but it will be available in other markets as well. The device will almost certainly be coming to Europe, and maybe even the US.
The source claims that the OnePlus 8 launch was pushed back twice, so this date may change as well. That remains unlikely, as we’re not looking at the same circumstances now.
XDA Developers shared the OnePlus Z specs earlier today, but Max J. claims those are not accurate. He himself confirmed that the phone will ship with the Snapdragon 765G, though, so that part seems to be accurate.
The Snapdragon 765G does support 5G connectivity, so you can expect that out of the OnePlus Z as well. The phone will almost certainly ship with a fullHD+ display, and that display will be smaller than the panel on the OnePlus 8.
We’re looking at a 90Hz display as well, as OnePlus promised that it won’t release any more phones with 60Hz displays. The display will be flat, while the phone will be made out of metal and glass.
The phone’s renders and sketches surfaced already. You can expect a display camera hole to be a part of the offering, but it will be centered. As most of you know, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro feature a display camera hole in the top-left corner.
LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage will probably be included
Bezels on this phone will be really thin, and LPDDR4X RAM will be included. We’re also expecting to see UFS 3.0 flash storage on this phone, along with two SIM card slots.
The device will almost certainly support 30W fast wired charging, same as the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. Wireless charging will not be included though, and the same goes for reverse (wireless) charging.
An optical in-display fingerprint scanner will be placed on this phone as well, while we’re expecting to see three cameras on the back.
Android 10 will come pre-installed on the OnePlus Z, along with OxygenOS. That’s pretty much everything we know thus far. The OnePlus Z may launch on July 10, so get ready for that.
