Ulefone Armor 9 Coming To Kickstarter On June 29 With Thermal Sensor

Ulefone has announced that you will be able to crowd-fund its new smartphone. The Ulefone Armor 9 will land on Kickstarter soon, on June 29.

Ulefone has already released plenty of detail on this device, however. The most interesting feature of this device is its thermal imaging sensor that will be placed on the back.

Ulefone claims that this will become the world’s first Android 10 smartphone with such a sensor. The Ulefone Armor 9 will also be a rugged smartphone, as it’s a part of the company’s ‘Armor’ series’.

You can easily see it’s a rugged smartphone based on the images provided in the gallery below. The device’s sides will be reinforced with metal, and its back will also be protected.

Aside from the thermal imaging sensor on the back, the phone will also offer three rear-facing cameras. It will also be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. The phone will also be resistant to falls.

Ulefone says that this phone is “specially designed for professionals and outdoor adventures”. The device will include the FLIR Lepton thermal imaging module, with FLIR MSX technology.

This sensor can be used for thermal imaging and accurate temperature measurement. There are a lot of usage scenarios for it, but it can be used in building repair, pipeline inspection, firefighting, and so on.

The Ulefone Armor 9’s main camera will be a 64-megapixel unit from ISOCELL. It will be the Samsung GW1 sensor, in case you were wondering.

The phone will include the Helio P90 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and a huge battery

The phone will be fueled by the Helio P90 64-bit octa-core processor from MediaTek. It will include 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A 6.3-inch fullHD+ display will also be included, along with a waterdrop notch.

This phone will pack in a huge battery. It will include a 6,600mAh battery, which will not be removable. Android 10 will come pre-installed on the device as well.

The Ulefone Armor 9 will support both facial scanning, and unlocking via a fingerprint scanner. An NFC chip will be a part of the package as well, while the phone will support dual 4G VoLTE:
