Become Vikings In Assassin's Creed Valhalla On Stadia In November

Earlier this year Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the latest release in the series which features vikings as the theme, set to launch for Stadia and other platforms in the Fall.

During that announcement Ubisoft didn’t announce what the launch date would be. Players only knew it was scheduled to be releasing sometime near the end of the year for the 2020 holiday season.

It now looks like Stadia players have a better idea of when they can raid villages in the latest Assassin’s Creed title. Because Ubisoft confirmed the release window over this past weekend during its Ubisoft Forward event.

“Vikings-themed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla comes to Stadia in November”

During the Ubisoft Forward live stream on July 12, Ubisoft showed off a ton of the stuff it’s currently working on.

One of the major takeaways though was new gameplay footage from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The studio also showed of 30 minutes of in-game footage. At the end of which it announced the official launch date for the game.

The vikings-themed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla comes to Stadia in November. Specifically November 17. This is the same day that it will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Though there’s no word yet on when the next-gen console versions will be available.

This is also one of two games from Ubisoft that seems to have been confirmed as a simultaneous release for Stadia. During Ubisoft Forward, Far Cry 6 was also announced. Which will land on Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 18 of 2021.

“Will the Stadia version of the game have any special features?”

Ubisoft doesn’t mention any special features for Stadia players. But that doesn’t rule out the possibility that there will be some.

A different Ubisoft title, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, was the first Stadia game to utilize the Stream Connect feature. Which allows party members who are playing together to see each other’s screens for better tactical engagement.

Will the Stadia version of the game have any special features? A good question. And one that doesn’t have an answer. So far there hasn’t been anything mentioned in this regard for its Stadia release.

And seeing as this is a single-player game, Stream Connect isn’t likely to make an appearance. Special Stadia-exclusive features or not, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is due out in just a few more months for players to dive into.

Like other Ubisoft games on the platform, expect there to be multiple versions of the game available.
