Password Manager App Dashlane is now adding support for the Android 11 keyboard-based autofill feature. The feature is reportedly now available on the Dashlane beta app.
Earlier, we have reported that with Android 11 autofill feature will get improved. Moreover, users will see better autofill integration with their keyboards.
Google password manager has already added this autofill integration to its Gboard. 1Password is a third-party app that now supports the autofill feature.
And now it is time for another popular password manager, Dashlane. Dashlane beta now brings autofill API support for keyboards, which makes it easier for users to add or use the saved passwords.
If you are running Android 11, which is also available in beta for multiple devices, you can make use of the Dashlane beta app to use this feature.
Dashlane beta support for autofill API now shows suggestions on top of the keyboard
Like all the other autofill supported password managers, Dashlane beta shows password suggestions on top of the keyboard interface.
Moreover, it let go of the old drop-down menu and adds more convenience and quick access for the users to choose among the saved passwords.
Notably, Dashlane beta also brings a dedicated “Search account” button to find other accounts. Besides, it also adds the add button right at the autofill suggestions bar.
If you have accounts on multiple websites, then these features might come handy for you. In fact, many users would make use of these features widely now that Dashlane supports it.
As per Android Police, the bar above Gboard will automatically show you the saved passwords for that particular website if you have saved the account in your Dashlane depository.
However, if you cannot find the exact login details, here comes to picture the search account option. Simply type in the first few letters of the login info you are looking for and it will show up.
Additionally, you can add new login info straight from the Gboard autofill bar straight to the Dashlane password manager. All these features will pop-up without you needing to leave the login page.
Dashlane autofill support will arrive on the stable app when Android 11 releases
You can add, search for accounts, etc. straight from the page you are currently on. Nifty ain’t it? Besides, Dashlane will bring this autofill feature to its stable app, once Android 11 releases.
If you wish to use all these cool new features, then you need to make sure you have the Dashlane beta app installed on your Android device. For that, you need to enroll in the beta program.
You can grab the beta app from the Google Play Store. However, something to keep in mind that you need to have Android 11 Beta and Gboard as your default keyboard input on your device.
