The mysterious OnePlus ‘Clover’ smartphone appeared on Geekbench recently. We didn’t know much about the phone, until now. According to a new report, OnePlus ‘Clover’ is coming to the US.
Entry-level OnePlus ‘Clover’ smartphone coming to the US with the Snapdragon 460
That’s not all, though. This information comes from Android Central, and the source shared some additional information about the device. The source confirms that the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 460 SoC, as rumored.
It also confirms that the phone will launch globally. So, along with the US, it will be available in a ton of other markets, including Europe, India, and so on.
It is also noted that the phone is codenamed ‘Clover’ at the moment, but that won’t be its final name. The phone will feature a 6.52-inch HD+ (1560 x 720) IPS LCD display, and 4GB of RAM.
On top of that, it will offer 64GB of internal storage, which will be expandable via a microSD card. A capacitive fingerprint scanner will be included on the back, and Wi-Fi ac connectivity will be available.
It is further noted that three cameras will be placed on the back of this phone. The OnePlus ‘Clover’ will feature a 13-megapixel main camera (f/2.2 aperture), backed by two 2-megapixel sensors (both will offer f/2.4 aperture).
The device will feature a huge battery
A large 6,000mAh battery will also be a part of the package, and it will support 18W fast charging. On top of everything, you can also expect to get a 3.5mm headphone jack here.
Android 10 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with OnePlus’ OxygenOS. Bluetooth 5.0 will be included, and this will be a 4G-enabled smartphone. It will not offer water and dust resistance, though.
Android Central notes that this information comes from a reliable source. Given his track record, this information is almost certainly accurate.
This handset is expected to arrive later this year. It is expected to cost around $200, though an exact price hasn’t been tipped just yet. It is quite interesting that this phone will make its way to the US, considering that the OnePlus Nord didn’t.
OnePlus did promise that upcoming budget smartphones will make their way to the States, and this will be the first one, it seems. What’s interesting here, is that OnePlus is aiming to cover all smartphone ranges, it seems. It has two flagship smartphones, one upper mid-range model, and this one will cover the entry-level section of the market.
